The invention relates to an electrical machine () or its use as a wind power generator and a wind power installation having this electrical machine. The electrical machine has a primary part () and a secondary part (), wherein a disc-like primary part () and a disc-like secondary part () are provided for forming a disc-shaped air gap, or wherein the electrical machine () has a cylindrical primary part () and a cylindrical secondary part () for forming a cylindrical air gap, wherein a primary part, which can be used for a linear motor, is also used for forming the cylindrical primary part ().

Electrical machine, in particular a generator

Electric machines which are excited with permanent magnets are to be improved in terms of their smoothness of operation and their loss properties. For this purpose, an electric machine is proposed comprising a first active part () on which one electric magnet () and at least one permanent magnet () are mounted, and a second active part () which has a multiplicity of pole teeth () and which interacts magnetically with the first active part (). The pole teeth () are spaced apart from one another in a non-uniform fashion in the direction () of the movement of the electric machine and/or have different average widths from one another, with the respective width of a tooth being measured in the direction () of movement and being averaged in terms of the extent of the tooth in the transverse direction with respect to the direction of travel. The geometry of the tooth causes the harmonics of the magnetic field to be influenced in a selective fashion. The second active part can be implemented cost-effectively as, for example, a simple punched sheet-metal part.

A primary component for a linear motor includes at least one laminated core. A winding for creating a first magnetic field is arranged in the grooves of the laminated core. Permanent magnets create a second magnetic field and are arranged on the teeth of the laminated core. The primary component is provided for arrangement with a secondary component, and the primary component and the secondary component are spaced from each other by an air gap. The primary component includes a flat cover, arranged on the side of the primary component facing the air gap.

An electric motor with a magnet free main drive component, as stator or secondary part, having a measuring system for determining positions and directions with increased resolution is proposed. Said electric motor comprises a first engine part (), being moveable in relation to a second engine part (). A number of magnetic field sensor devices () of the measuring system are attached on the first engine part (), being separated from each other along the direction of movement. The second engine part () comprises magnet free pole-teeth (), being also separated from each other along the direction of movement. Each of the magnetic field sensor devices () has at least one magnet, the magnetic field thereof being directed through one of the pole-teeth () for detection by a sensor of the magnetic field sensor device. The space between each two of the magnetic field sensor device () is different to the space between each two of the pole-teeth (). Thus, refined determination of the position, for example with a synchronous linear motor with permanent magnet free secondary part can be achieved.

The invention relates to a secondary part () of a linear electrical machine (), wherein the secondary part () has permanent magnets () and a mount (). The secondary part () has spacer elements (), wherein an installation height of the secondary part () is also determined by means of the spacer elements (). Tolerances of the installation height can be maintained more easily by means of the spacer elements. In a method for manufacturing a secondary part () of a linear electrical machine (), the spacer elements () are cast together with the mount () on which the permanent magnets () are arranged such that the permanent magnets () are embedded in the casting compound () and the casting compound () forms the surface of the secondary part () in the region of the permanent magnets (), wherein the spacer elements () protrude out of the casting compound () such that part of the surface of the secondary part () is also formed by the spacer elements ().

A secondary part of an electric machine has a toothed profile, with at least one tooth being unlaminated. The at least one tooth is made of at least two materials, wherein the at least one tooth forms a cavity which is filled with an iron-containing material representing one of the two materials.

A controller for an electric machine, in particular for a linear motor, is disclosed. The electric machine or linear motor includes a first machine section with windings and a second machine section with permanent magnets. The controller includes a memory which can store one or more physical parameters, such as magnetic field parameters, that can be used to control the electric machine. The physical parameter(s) can be determined by having the electric machine perform one or more reference passes.

The invention relates to a motor part of a linear motor, i.e. the primary part or secondary part of an asynchronous or synchronous linear motor. According to the invention, it is proposed to configure a cooling coil (K), which has a meandering flat structure, from pipe sections () of a material with high heat conductivity, as well as plastic deflections (). The deflections are preferably configured as pre-fabricated molded plastic parts, and the motor element is preferably cast with the attached cooling coil. According to the invention, cooling coils can be configured from modules in accordance with the required dimensions, and problems caused by bending the metal parts are avoided.

A linear motor includes a primary having lamination stacks, which are arranged to realize a polygonal configuration of the primary, and winding coils having windings wrapped about the lamination stacks in parallel relationship to an outer periphery of the primary. Each lamination stack is made of elongate sheets extending in parallel relationship to a center axis of the motor. The lamination stacks are modules that can be combined in any number or arrangement to form a primary best suited for linear motors of desired power output.

An electric AC machine with a primary section and a secondary section is disclosed. The primary section has a region facing the secondary section and a region facing away from the secondary section. The region facing the secondary section has windings adapted to receive an AC current. The winding of the primary section has at least one phase conductor which at least partially extends in or on the region of the primary section facing away from the secondary section, thereby producing a magnetic field that extends outside the secondary section. This arrangement can reduce overvoltages and eliminate voltage breakdowns at the star point of winding strands of a synchronous motor.

In order to determine the temperature in the winding region of an electric motor, especially linear motor, a measuring line made of uniform; electrically conductive material is integrated in a winding, preferably in sections between winding teeth. The measuring line may be configured as insulated double line which is short-circuited on one side. A change in the resistance value of the measuring line allows conclusion about a temperature change and is easy to ascertain.

An electric linear motor includes a rotor as primary; and a secondary which is spaced from the rotor to define an air gap therebetween for interaction between the rotor and the secondary. The secondary has a carrier with electrically and/or magnetic driving elements, a cover for protection of the carrier against contamination or damage, and a support unit which supports the cover for movement relative to the carrier. Thus, contaminated regions of the cover can be removed from the surface of the secondary and cleaned by a wiper element.

A primary part of an air-cooled electric motor, in particular a linear motor, includes a modular block with a winding body and windings housed in a sealed housing. Cooling air flows through cooling channels around the windings and through tooth gaps in the winding body. The primary part can be produced by coating the housing and a cover with a sealing composition and embedding the modular block at least partially in the sealing composition. Alternatively, the primary part can be produced by embedding the winding region of the winding body first in a first molding composition, and subsequently in a second molding composition which has a higher melting point than the first molding composition. The first molding composition is then melted and removed. The thereby produced cavities form gas inlets and outlets and gas flow paths for air cooling the interior of the primary part.
