One or more example embodiments relates to a power supply circuit for a computed tomography system. The power supply circuit comprises a stationary power distributor including an uninterruptible power supply; a co-rotating bias voltage supply, the co-rotating bias voltage supply including a voltage supply input, a bias voltage supply output, and a bias voltage monitoring unit, the bias voltage monitoring unit being configured to activate or to deactivate the bias voltage supply output as a function of an electrical input voltage detected at the voltage supply input, and the bias voltage includes a sensor configure to detect the electrical input voltage at the voltage supply input; and an auxiliary voltage source having a power buffer, the power buffer configured to supply the bias voltage monitoring unit with electrical power for deactivation of the bias voltage supply output.

Power supply circuit for a computed tomography system

One or more embodiments of the present invention relates to an energy supply circuit for a CT system. The energy supply circuit comprises a stationary energy distribution device, a co-rotating bias voltage supply device, a standard energy supply path having an energy transmission device between the stationary energy distribution device and the co-rotating bias voltage supply device and an alternatively connectable service energy supply path having a voltage protection device. In an embodiment, the X-ray detector unit includes: at least one analysis unit to process electrical signals delivered from a coupled converter unit and operatable by an operating voltage; an adjustable voltage supply, coupled to the at least one analysis unit, to provide an adjustable supply voltage; an identification unit, assigned to the at least one analysis unit, to provide identification information about the at least one analysis unit in a readable manner; and a communication unit, coupled to the adjustable voltage supply, to read the identification information provided from the identification unit, and based upon the identification information provided, to adjust the adjustable voltage supply to equate the provided supply voltage to the operating voltage of the at least one analysis unit.

A computed tomography device includes a holding frame and a ring mount, being movably mounted to the holding frame. The ring mount includes an x-ray detector, with a semiconductor material, operable in an equilibrium of statistical states of occupation. In an embodiment, the computed tomography device includes a first power supply, set up to supply power, in an operating state of the computed tomography device, to a first lot of components of the computed tomography device, the first lot of components being arranged on the ring mount for an image generation process; and a second power supply, separable from the first power supply in terms of circuitry, to supply power to a second lot of components of the computed tomography device in a resting state of the computed tomography device, the components of the second lot being set up to hold the semiconductor material in the equilibrium.

A detector facility for a medical imaging system is described. The detector facility has a plurality of individual detectors and at least one detector controller. The detector facility is embodied such that it can be switched to at least one power-saving mode, in which at least one portion of the components of the individual detectors is deactivated and concurrently at least one portion of the components of the detector controller is not deactivated. A medical imaging system, in particular a computed tomography system, having such a detector facility; and a corresponding method for operating a detector facility of a medical imaging system are also described.

Operation of a detector facility

A device is for the spatially resolved measurement of photons, in particular x-ray photons. In an embodiment, the device includes a first plurality of photoelectric converters, a second plurality of current measuring apparatuses and a third plurality of voltage conditioners. Each current measuring apparatus is electrically connected to at least one photoelectric converter; each voltage conditioner is electrically connected to at least one current measuring apparatus; and each photoelectric converter is configured to generate a photocurrent from an incident photon. Each voltage conditioner is connectable to a supply bar, configured to provide a supply voltage. The voltage conditioner is configured to down-convert the supply voltage to an operating voltage of a current measuring apparatus. Each current measuring apparatus is configured to measure a photocurrent under operating voltage when this is generated in a photoelectric converter, electrically connected to the respective current measuring apparatus.

An X-ray detector includes a direct-conversion converter element and an evaluating unit in a stacked arrangement. In an embodiment, the X-ray detector includes a voltage source, configured to provide a first potential and a second potential different from the first potential; a pulse generating unit for generating voltage pulses; and a connecting unit, for applying the voltage pulses onto the first potential, configured at the output to provide a pulsed potential. In an embodiment, through the application of the pulsed potential to a first surface of the direct-conversion converter element and through the application of the second potential to a second surface of the converter element opposed to the first surface, a pulsed potential difference is formed in the direct-conversion converter element.

A detector is disclosed, in particular for X-radiation. The detector includes an array of photodiodes, each respectively corresponding to a pixel with regard to size of their photosensitive receiving surface. Each photodiode is subdivided in the same way into at least two sub-photodiodes. Further, each photodiode includes at least one electric switch such that only one or all the sub-photodiodes of the photodiode are connectable to an evaluation circuit.

A method is disclosed for determining a configuration for a computer tomograph for the purpose of error diagnosis, a module, a computer tomograph and a system of appropriate design. The computer tomograph includes a multiplicity of detector modules. In at least one embodiment, a respective detector module is designed to have an identification device which is intended to provide a signature, the signature being uniquely associated with the respective module. The detector module transmits the measurement data it captures and its signature. The digital, electronic signature allows remote maintenance of the computer tomograph.

A radiation detector is disclosed for the detection of ionizing radiation, preferably in a medical diagnosis and/or therapy system, having at least one detector element which is at least partially enclosed by an encapsulation compound. The encapsulation compound at least partially reflects light which is produced during the absorption of the ionizing radiation in the at least one detector element. Further, the detection of the radiation is carried out indirectly by detection of the generated light, wherein the encapsulation compound is made of a multicomponent mixture which converts compounds produced because of radiation, which generate color changes of the encapsulation compound, at least partially into colorless nonabsorbing compounds.

A method and a control device are for controlling the temperature of a detector system inside a computed tomography unit. The CT unit includes a rotatable gantry with a gantry housing in which both an X-ray tube and the detector system are located. The detector system is arranged, in turn, inside a detector housing. The air temperature is set in the gantry housing via a temperature-controlled air circulation. The temperature of the ambient air of the detector housing is set by a control system that uses the temperature of the detector system as controlled variable.
