A method is provided for markers to implement augmented reality. An image is captured of an environment. A plurality of markers is detected in the image of the environment. A virtual image is displayed overlaid on the image of the environment, wherein the virtual image is based on a combination of the plurality of markers.

Markers to implement augmented reality

A system is provided. The system comprises an at least one computer system, a services database, and an application that, when executed on the at least one computer system, receives a message containing information about a digital image, the information containing a request for a service. The application also transmits an image translation request, wherein the image translation request includes the information. The application also receives a translation containing a service code, validates the services to be provided associated with the service code based on information in the services database, and when validation succeeds, provides a communication service, wherein digital images are associated with the provision of services based on information in the services database.

Multi-step platform for image capture and action

A system is provided for dynamic display based on estimated viewers. The system includes a sensor, a server, and a dynamic display. The sensor senses traffic in an environment. The server estimates a number of potential viewers based on sensing the traffic, selects content based on the number, and communicates the content. The dynamic display receives the content and displays the content for the potential viewers.

A computer implemented method is provided for display adaptation based on captured image feedback. Content that comprises a marker is displayed. An image of the content is captured by a mobile device. Whether the marker in the image is recognized is determined. The marker in the image is analyzed in response to a determination that the marker in the image is not recognized. The content is adjusted based on the analyzed marker. The adjusted content is displayed. The marker in the image is analyzed to determine at least one of a time and a location associated with capturing the image of the content in response to a determination that the marker in the image is recognized. Another content is displayed based on at least one of the time and the location determined by analyzing the marker.

Display adaptation based on captured image feedback

A mobile communication device provisioning and management system is provided. The system comprises a computer system and an application, that when executed on the computer system, receives instructions for provisioning a set of mobile communication devices, the instructions comprising a range of unique identifiers and user roles associated with the set. The system also receives a first message from a first mobile communication device, the first message containing a request for provisioning, a first unique identifier, a first user role, and a first user identifier. The system also matches the first unique identifier embedded in the first message with a unique identifier contained in the instructions. The system also matches the user role received in the first message with a user role specified in the instructions and sends a second message to the first mobile communication device, the second message containing provisioning information. The system also stores a record associating the first unique identifier, the first user role, and the first user identifier.

A security system worn by an individual is provided for monitoring an adjacent area. The security system includes a mobile device in communication with an audio device, a camera, and a transparent display. The camera captures an image. The audio device inputs audio information associated with the image, wherein the information includes a priority. The transparent display displays images captured via other mobile devices and information associated with the images captured via the other mobile devices. The mobile device is associated with a location engine configured to determine a location of the mobile device.

A method is provided to implement augmented reality using markers. An image is captured of an environment. An image of a marker is detected in the image of the environment. A virtual image is displayed overlaid on the image of the environment at an offset from the marker, wherein the virtual image is based on the marker.

System, methods, and computer-readable media for providing a gesture-controlled user interface in interacting with a communication device are provided. Embodiments of the present invention include a communication device that recognizes a gesture made by a person that has one or more transducers attached to their hand. The gesture is recognized by performing calculations on the sound waves received from the one or more transducers. In addition, the gesture may be recognized using a digital camera and image recognition techniques. In one embodiment, the gesture is recognized using an echolocation system that transmits ultrasonic waves and captures the waves reflected off the object making the gesture. In another embodiment, the gesture is made and interpreted in relation to a user interface that is projected from the communication device using a laser projector.

A recharging station for recharging an electric vehicle has a fixed transceiver operable with a local interface and a wide-area wireless interface, wherein the wide-area wireless interface corresponds to a cellular network provider. A user transceiver is activated by a user to send an authentication request to the recharging station via the local interface. A front-end server in a core network of the cellular network provider communicates with the recharging station and the user transceiver. The recharging station forwards the authentication request with an identification of the recharging station to the front-end server, and the front-end server creates a PIN code in response to the authentication request if the identification of the user transceiver is verified. A back-end server associated with the utility provider receives the PIN code and verifies the identification of the recharging station. The front-end server sends the PIN code to both the user transceiver and the recharging station via the wide-area wireless interface, and the PIN code is used to initiate charging.

A system is provided for determining an item location in a distribution center. The system includes an audio device, a transparent display, and a mobile device in communication with the audio device and the transparent display. The mobile device receives a request to determine item location from the audio device, determines a location of the mobile device, and determines an item location. The mobile device also outputs item location information to the transparent display and outputs additional information to the transparent display in response to a change of the location of the mobile device.

A system of enhanced page messaging in a short message service environment is provided. The system comprises a computer system and an application, that when executed on the computer system, receives a first message containing a request to forward the first message to a first portable electronic device wherein the first message is received via a concise textual messaging service. The system also parses at least one of the header and payload content of the first message and determines that the first message is to be delivered as a page message. The system also forwards the first message to the first portable electronic device as a page message.

Enhanced page messaging in short message service environments

A health clinic broker system is provided. The system comprises at least one computer system and a health clinic broker application that, when executed on the at least one computer system, receives a plurality of health care service requests containing information about a health care need, at least some of the requests seeking to set an appointment for health care. The system also receives a plurality of health care service offerings and provides at least one recommendation for the appointment for health care based on matching the health care service offerings with the health care service request.

A system is provided for display of information. The system includes an audio device, a transparent display, and a mobile device in communication with the audio device and the transparent display. The mobile device projects information to the transparent display, and decreases projection of the information to the transparent display in response to a detection of an unsafe condition.

An image encodes a voice message and communication data for delivery of the voice message. A wireless communication device optically receives and processes the received image to generate image data. The image data represents the voice message and indicates the communication data. The wireless communication device processes the image data, and in response, wirelessly transmits the voice message for delivery based on the communication data.
