A measuring apparatus for measuring an electrical voltage for a metal-encapsulated switchgear. The measuring apparatus has an electrical conductor, an electrically conductive measuring electrode, which surrounds a first conductor portion of the electrical conductor and is electrically insulated from the electrical conductor, and an electrically conductive field control electrode, which is electrically insulated from the electrical conductor and from the measuring electrode and which has a first field control electrode portion that surrounds the measuring electrode.

Measuring an electrical voltage on a metal-encapsulated switchgear

A direct-current switching device for interrupting an electric direct current flowing along a medium or high-voltage current path, includes an electric circuit assembly having a mechanical switching device to be switched in the medium or high-voltage current path. The electric circuit assembly further has an LC circuit with an inductive component in order to force a current zero crossing in the mechanical switching device connected in the medium or high-voltage current path, a capacitive component for forming a resonant circuit being closed by the switching device, and a switchable semiconductor component for generating an excitation frequency exciting the resonant circuit. The switchable semiconductor component is disposed in the electric circuit assembly such that the semiconductor component constantly lies outside of the medium or high-voltage current path when the mechanical switching device is connected in the medium or high-voltage current path.

Direct-current switching device

A direct current switching device for interrupting an electric direct current flowing along a medium or high voltage current path. An electric circuit arrangement has a mechanical switching device connected in the current path and a circuit unit for forcing a zero-crossing point in the mechanical switching device. The circuit unit has multiple capacitive components and a switch which are connected in the circuit unit such that, in a first switching state of the switch, the capacitive components are connected in parallel for a respective electric charging process via the medium or high voltage current path and, in a second switching state of the switch, the capacitive components are connected in series in order to generate a current pulse which forces the zero-crossing point. The direct current switching device is useful for interrupting an electric direct current flowing along the medium or high voltage current path.

Direct current switching device and use thereof

A configuration for generating a zero current pulse for generating a zero current crossing in an electrical component through which a direct current flows, in particular a vacuum interrupter, includes a switch and an electrical energy storage device or store having two poles through which the electrical energy storage device can be charged by a voltage source. A loop can be formed by the energy storage device, the electrical component through which the direct current flows and the switch, so that the energy storage device can be discharged by closing the switch while generating a zero current pulse counter to the direct current across the electrical component. The energy storage device has a plurality of energy storage elements for mutual generation of a zero current pulse.
