A hermetically sealed housing for power electronics includes a sheet metal tank, and an aluminum cover. The tank has a surrounding edge which is provided with a plurality of bending lugs, and the edge of the cover has a shoulder at which the bending lug rests, so that the cover is pressed against the edge of the tank and a hermetic sealing is obtained.

For a contact means for conductor foils which comprise at least one conductor path ( ), an especially reliable contact for a long period of time shall be guaranteed. To this end the contact means comprises a pressure element ( ) which is provided with a projection ( ) presenting a continuous pressure surface ( ), and a counter pressure element ( ) provided with a recess ( ) the contour of which is adapted to the shape of the pressure surface, the projection being prestressed elastically against the counter pressure element such that a conductor foil to be contacted is clamped between the pressure surface ( ) and the edge of the recess ( ). Thus, it is possible to maintain a constant contact force even if the conductor foil eventually yields.

A battery clamp comprises a connecting lug ( ), a contact ring ( ) which is provided with a slot so as to form two opposite clamping ends ( ). Each clamping end includes a bent lug ( ), and a slope ( ). A spring ( ) engages the clamping ends of the contact ring. A blocking wedge ( ) is positioned between the bent lugs of the clamping ends and can be shifted between a mounting position in which it keeps the clamping ends of the contact ring in a spread condition, and a contact position in which it releases the clamping ends so that the spring can pull the clamping ends together.
