A cap () for a pen or pencil () has an opening () for the introduction of the pen or pencil () and a sealing bead () that extends radially inwards and runs around the longitudinal axis (L) of the cap () with a closed contour. The cap () has at least one first component (K) with a first flexibility and a second component (K) with a second flexibility that is greater than the first flexibility. The interior () of the cap () in the region lying opposite the opening () in relation to the sealing bead () and in the region of the sealing bead () is delimited by the first component (K). The second component (K) lies on the outside in the region of the sealing bead () along a closed contour on the first component (K). The adjustability of the cap () by a force acting in the radial direction in the region of the sealing bead () is greater than in a region lying opposite the opening () in relation to the sealing bead ().

An applicator device () for storing and applying a substance () to be applied, in particular a cosmetic substance, comprising: a container () for the substance having a container opening (), an applicator implement (), an adjustable stripping element () for the applicator implement, which is arranged at least partially in the region of the container opening, and an adjusting device for the action of the stripping means. An applicator device for a loose substance, in particular a cosmetic substance such as a cosmetic powder, comprising at least one housing having a storage compartment for the substance and a handle portion on which is disposed an applicator which in the closed condition of the applicator device is arranged in the interior of the housing in the direction of the storage compartment, wherein a wall of the storage compartment, that is towards the applicator, includes passageways for the loose substance, and devices for producing at least one impact on at least one part of the storage compartment so that a part of the loose substance can be loaded on to the applicator through the permeable wall of the storage compartment by metering impacts.
