A motor vehicle includes a projection device to project a light distribution for driver information in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle onto the ground in front of the motor vehicle. The light function of the projected light distribution is different from a low beam and a high beam light. During operation of the projection device within a predefined interval of the vehicle speed in the forward direction of the motor vehicle, an increase in the extent of the light distribution in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle occurs as the vehicle speed increases. The extent of the light distribution at each vehicle speed is thereby greater than or equal to the extent at lower vehicle speeds.

Motor vehicle having a projection device

A motor vehicle includes a lighting module that generates a symbol on the ground in the surroundings of the motor vehicle, a surrounding sensor system that detects sensor information in a region in the surroundings of the motor vehicle, and a controller designed to control the lighting module depending on the sensor information such that the symbol is generated automatically by the lighting module in a ground region between the motor vehicle and another road user as soon as the distance between the motor vehicle and the other road user falls below a specified threshold according to the sensor information.

The invention relates to a headlight for a motor vehicle having a plurality of main light modules configured to produce a main light distribution for low beam and high beam. The headlight also has a laser light module comprised of one or more laser diodes configured to produce a laser light distribution in addition to the main light distribution. The headlight is configured such that, during operation, the laser light distribution is movable in a manner decoupled from the main light distribution and relative to the main light distribution.

A headlamp for a motor vehicle has a multi-aperture projection display, which has a lighting device and a planar image generator and an array of projection lenses, wherein each projection lens is associated with a segment of the planar image generator such that, when the array is illuminated by the lighting device, at least some of the segments are projected in front of the headlamp by the associated projection lenses in order to produce at least one light distribution. Predetermined segments from the segments of the planar image generator in one or more partial areas of the planar image generator are designed and arranged in relation to each other in such a way that, when the illuminant is switched off, a symbol arrangement perceptible to an observer is presented on the planar image generator at a viewing angle of the observer in a predetermined viewing angle range toward the headlamp.

A motor vehicle has a surroundings lighting device, where the surroundings lighting device includes a first projection module arranged adjacent to a pivotable vehicle door of the motor vehicle in an immobile vehicle bodywork component, where when the first projection module is switched on, the first projection module projects a light distribution onto the ground adjacent to the immobile vehicle bodywork component. A second projection module is arranged on the outside of the vehicle door, where when the second projection module is switched on, the second projection module projects a pictogram onto the ground. The surroundings lighting device is configured to, when an event which is triggered by a user in the surroundings of the motor vehicle is detected, switch on the first projection module and at the same time, or after a delay, switch on the second projection module such that the pictogram is projected onto the light distribution.
