The present invention relates to the technical field of 3D printing, in particular in the form of the binder jetting process in which particles in a powder bed are adhesive-bonded by means of a printed adhesive to give a three-dimensional object. The particles here can be inorganic materials, e.g. sand or a metal powder, or polymeric particles, such as polymethacrylates or polyamides. To this end, polymethacrylates can by way of example take the form of suspension polymers known as bead polymers. In this context the present invention in particular relates to, as powders for 3D printing, suspension polymers which differ from the prior art in that they comprise a hard phase and an uncrosslinked soft phase.

The present invention relates to the technical field of 3D printing, especially in the form of the binder jetting method, in which particulate material in a powder bed is bonded by means of a printed adhesive to form a three-dimensional object. The particulate materials may be inorganic materials, for example sand or a metal powder, or particulate polymeric materials, for example polymethacrylates or polyamides. For this purpose, polymethacrylates may take the form, for example, of suspension polymers, called bead polymers. The present invention relates to the use of porous particles in the binder jetting process, in particular of porous suspension polymers. These powders for 3-D printing differ from the prior art in that the porosity results in a faster and better absorption of the printed binder by the powder particles. A great advantage of this procedure is additionally that a product with less warpage is formed and that the end product has a better surface appearance.

Provided is an adhesive composition suitable for producing a laminate. The composition contains specified amounts of (a) polyisobutyl methacrylate, isobutyl methacrylate or a mixture thereof, (b) butyl acrylate, (c) polybutyl acrylate, (d) a (meth)acrylate compound and (e) a silicon compound. These components may be in polymerizable form, in polymerized form or in a combination of polymerizable form and polymerized form. The amounts of components (a) to (e) total 100 wt. % and the amount of (b) and (c) represents 30 to 90 wt. %, based on the sum total of components (a) to (e). The composition may optionally further contain from 0.1 to 6 wt. %, based on the total weight of the adhesive composition, of additives different from components (a) to (e) described above.

The coated sheet-like plastics material of the invention combines water-spreading properties with photocatalytic activity, without any damage to the thermoplastic substrates. The coated sheet-like plastics substrate of the invention is produced in a relatively uncomplicated, inexpensive and fast in-line process and, in use, provides impressive substrate stability and impressive effectiveness of the coating in resisting initial algal growth.

The present invention relates to plastic molded bodies having two-dimensional or three-dimensional image structures produced in the interior through laser subsurface engraving. The plastic molded bodies are made of plastic materials which have a content of nanoscale metal oxides having particle sizes from 1 to 500 nm, both the plastic material and also the included metal oxide being transparent to the laser light used for producing the image structures. The plastic materials from which the molded bodies are manufactured particularly contain metal oxides having particle sizes from 5 to 100 nm at a content of 0.0001 to 0.1 weight-percent.
