The storage module for an energy store of a motor vehicle includes multiple storage cells. The multiple storage cells are wired together according to a circuit topology and are electrically connected together for storing electric energy. Each storage cell has at least one electric heating element for heating the each storage cell. The heating elements are electrically connected to one another according to the same circuit topology.

A calibration method includes (a) connecting a impedance measuring device to an impedance standard which has at least two excitation terminals for feeding an excitation signal and two measuring terminals for determining a measurement signal, and which has a fixed or adjustable impedance which corresponds to the impedance target; (b) applying a voltage signal to the excitation terminals and measuring the current flowing through the impedance standard due to the voltage signal at the measuring terminals; or supplying a current signal to the excitation terminals and measuring the dropping voltage at the measuring terminals; and (c) calibrating the impedance measuring device against the impedance standard to the impedance target. The geometrical arrangement of terminals of the impedance standard corresponds to the geometrical arrangement of the terminals of the cell of which the impedance is to be measured.

Impedance standard

A storage cell for an energy store includes a cell housing in which storage means for storing electric energy are received, at least one connection which is arranged outside of the cell housing and via which the electric energy stored by the storage means can be provided, and at least one electric heating element arranged within the cell housing for heating the storage cell. The cell housing has a connection region, in which the heating element within the cell housing is electrically connected to the cell housing. At least one connection device is provided, having at least one connection element that has a first connection part, which is electrically connected to the cell housing outside of the cell housing and is made of a first material, and a second connection part, which is electrically connected to the first connection part and is made of a second material that differs from the first material.

A battery system for an electric vehicle has a high-voltage battery, a control unit, and a safety device for disconnecting the high-voltage battery from a high-voltage on-board electrical system of the electric vehicle. The battery system is characterized in that the control unit has two conductor loops, and that the control unit carries out a monitoring of the two conductor loops. Based on the monitoring, the control unit activates the safety device such that the safety device separates the high-voltage battery from the high-voltage vehicle electrical system of the electric vehicle, wherein the safety device has an irreversible separating element.

High-voltage battery system having a safety device

A safety switch device connects a heating unit for at least one battery cell of a high-voltage battery of a motor vehicle to a power supply connection that provides a heating current for the heating unit. The device includes: a first controllable switching element arranged in a heating current transmission path, which is designed to receive a control signal supplied by a unit external to the high-voltage battery via a signal transmission path of the safety switch device and to generate heating current transmission between the heating unit and the power supply connection according to the received control signal; a separating unit arranged in the heating current transmission path, for interrupting the heating current transmission in the event of failure of the first switching element; and a transmission unit arranged in the signal transmission path, which is designed to transmit the control signal potential-free to the first switching element, for the galvanic separation of the high-voltage battery and the unit.

Safety switch device for a high-voltage battery of a motor vehicle, high-voltage battery, on-board power supply system and motor vehicle

A heatable battery includes a battery cell with an anode, a cathode, an anode connection which is connected to the anode, and a cathode connection which is connected to the cathode. The battery cell has a heating element and a connection for applying a voltage potential to the heating element. The heating element is connected to one of the components of the anode connection and the cathode connection. The battery cell further has a controllable switch which is arranged between the connection for applying the voltage potential to the heating element and the other of the components of the anode connection and the cathode connection.

Heatable battery

A pyrotechnic switch for switching off and establishing electric circuits includes a first electrical conductor, a second electrical conductor, and an ignition element. In a first state of the pyrotechnic switch, the first electrical conductor and the second electrical conductor are electrically connected to one another, wherein a target separation point between the first electrical conductor and the second electrical conductor is provided. The target separation point is separated as soon as the ignition element is triggered, wherein the pyrotechnic switch is provided with a third electrical conductor. In the first state of the pyrotechnic switch, the third electrical conductor is electrically separated from the second electrical conductor and from the third electrical conductor, and in a second state of the pyrotechnic switch, the third electrical conductor is electrically connected to the second electrical conductor.

Pyrotechnic switch and intermediate circuit discharge system

A device is provided for switching an electrical circuit for electrical power levels of from 500 watts to 10 megawatts, which has two or more pyrotechnic disconnecting devices, which are connected in series between a terminal point and a load in order to interrupt the electrical circuit. The device also has at least one closing mechanism, wherein the number of closing mechanisms is less than the number of pyrotechnic disconnecting devices and wherein each closing mechanism is arranged in a parallel connection with a single pyrotechnic disconnecting device in order to bridge the one pyrotechnic disconnecting device and thereby close an interrupted electrical circuit.
