The invention relates to a spin coater for a device for the additive manufacture of an object, having a support that can be connected to the device in a rotable manner about a rotational axis; and a coating element that is coupled to the support and that is suitable for applying or leveling a powder layer on a plane in the device while the support is rotating, the plane running perpendicularly to the rotational axis. The coating element substantially maintains its orientation during the rotational movement of the support within a specified rotational range. The coating element does not substantially move in a longitudinal direction of the coating element during the rotational movement of the support within a specified rotational range.

The device comprises a machine frame (); a door () that is mounted at the machine frame and is swiveling between an open position and a closed position; a container () that can be removed from the device; and a support device () that is vertically movable in the container and has an upper side, which forms a building platform () on which the three-dimensional object is generated layer wise. The device comprises: a container () arranged in the device; a support device (), which can be vertically moved in the container, wherein the upper side of the support device () forms a building platform (), on which the three-dimensional object is generated layer-wise; an application device () for applying building material in powder form onto the building platform and a previously solidified layer, respectively; and an energy source () that provides a beam () for solidifying the building material in powder form. In a region below the container () in the device () outlets () are provided, wherein from each of the outlets () a directed flow of a fluid medium escapes in a directed manner to peripheral regions of the container ().

Device and method for a layerwise manufacturing of a three-dimensional object

A device () for manufacturing a three-dimensional object by a layer-wise solidification of a building material at positions in the respective layers that correspond to the object is provided. The device has a machine frame () and support legs () that are mounted at the machine frame and by which the device () is supported on a substrate. The support legs () are arranged such that a three-point support of the device () at the substrate is given and at least two support legs () are mounted at the machine frame such that they are adjustable in height.

Device for a layer-wise manufacturing of a three-dimensional object

A device () for applying layers or a powder material () by means of an application device () is described, wherein the application device () can be moved back and forth between two end positions in order to apply a layer of material () and the application device () comprises a blade () for removing excess material during the application of a layer of material (). The device has the particular advantage that layers of material () can be applied without any loss of material and is particularly applicable in a laser sintering device.

A device () for manufacturing a three-dimensional object by a layer wise solidification of a building material at positions in the respective layers corresponding to the object is provided. The device comprises a building field, in which the solidification of the material in powder form takes place; an application element (), that applies the building material in powder form in the form of a layer; and a drive mechanism () that moves the application element () across the building field in order to apply the layer of the building material. The drive mechanism () is configured such that for the application of layers it moves the application element () between a first end position on a first side of the building field and a second end position on an opposite second side of the building field on a circular path back and forth.

A support device () is provided that is arranged in the building container () such that it is vertically movable, wherein the support device () has an upper side that forms a building platform (), on which the three-dimensional object is generated layer wise. Between a circumferential outer edge of the building platform () and a circumferential inside wall () of the building container () a gap () is formed and a seal () is provided that is provided circumferentially at the building platform () and closes the gap (). The seal is made from a ring of a flat flexible material having an outer diameter, which in a flat state is larger than the inner diameter of the inside wall (). A guide plate () is provided that maintains the seal () in the region of the gap () in an angulated shape.
