A no-loss, multi-band, adaptable Yagi style antenna employs a multi-element driven cell having a center element and one or more adjacent elements on each side of the center element. The adjacent elements of the driven cell are electrically shorter than the center element, thereby permitting the driven cell to be tuned to two or more frequency bands. The antenna is fed by a feedline connected to a common feed point at the center of the center element in the driven cell. Parasitic director elements are positioned in front of the driven cell and are tuned to the highest band of the driven cell. Parasitic reflector elements for one or more frequency bands are positioned behind the driven cell, with these elements tuned to actual operating frequencies of the antenna. The invention also provides a multi-band dipole antenna array covering three or more frequency bands comprising a set of dipole elements having a center element and one or more adjacent elements and one or more adjacent elements on each side of the center element. The adjacent elements are electrically shorter than the center element and are of unequal lengths. The antenna is fed by a feedline connected to a common feedpoint at the center of the center element of the set of dipole elements. Parasitic director elements are positioned in front of the set of dipole elements and parasitic reflector elements are positioned behind the set of dipole elements.

No loss, multi-band, adaptable antenna

An improved proximal cable-less communications system using at least two receivers is described. The system is significantly improved by utilizing an intentional signal path for the local oscillator signal to be radiated while maintaining the architecture of each receiver and the proximal cable-less communications system. The effectiveness of radiation can be increased by extending the length of the electrical interconnect which connects the local oscillator to the mixer. In addition, the effectiveness of radiation is increased by magnetically coupling the electrical interconnect which connects the local oscillator with the mixer with the electrical interconnect which connects the antenna and the mixer. By coupling the two electrical interconnect, the signal output by the local oscillator is induced on the electrical interconnect between the antenna and the mixer. The coupling is set such that the signal induced travels along the electrical interconnect and is radiated out of the antenna.

Proximal cable-less communication system with intentional signal path

An improved proximal cable-less communications system using at least two receivers is described. The system is significantly improved by eliminating the sidetone which can occur in full duplex systems. Components are placed in the receivers, between the mixer components and the components which detect the information encoded in the signal at the intermediate frequency, which function to cancel out the detrimental affect of those signals containing information derived from the modulation of the local oscillator of the receiver device.

A proximal cable-less communication system employs the physical placement of the units to each other to achieve information transfer. Local oscillators of each of the receivers are modulated and this modulated signal containing intelligence is received by other receivers due to the leakage radiation from the local oscillators.

Coordinated local oscillator receiving system

A cordless telephone system which provides improved performance through a number of moved circuits including the use of a single oscillator in a remote unit for providing both a standard for the transmitted signal and a local oscillator signal. The remote unit is layed out to minimize interference between the transmitted and received signal and includes a vertically disposed transmitting antenna and horizontally disposed receiving antenna.
