A device for monitoring objects, in particular for monitoring industrial environments, such as paper mills and manufacturing and/or finishing processes of a paper, board or other fibrous web being carried out therein, includes a monitoring camera, the camera with its objective being arranged in a rotationally symmetrical protective housing rotating about an axis of rotation, and a protective housing to be mounted at its one end on a rigid hollow shaft and, at its coaxially opposite other end, to have a co-rotating blower pipe or merge into the latter, and for compressed air to be applied to the protective housing, including the blower pipe.

Monitoring device

A roller for a web-processing machine, the roller having a support core, which is braced in the region of both its ends via a respective bearing arrangement, and an outer covering, which in its axially central region is mounted in a radially fixed manner in relation to the support core and in the region of its two ends is braced in a radially displaceable manner in relation to the support core by a respective additional bearing arrangement, whereby the outer covering is displaceable in the region of its two ends respectively by an actuator arranged within the outer covering, the actuator being adjustable and including two inter-mounted eccentrics to which is assigned respectively one pivoting device, whereby the two pivoting devices are controllable such that the size of the resulting eccentricity and the position of the resulting eccentricity are adjustable preferably separately from each other.

Expander roller

A roller for a web-processing machine has a support core, which is braced in the region of both its ends via a respective bearing arrangement, and an outer covering, which in its axially central region is braced in a radially fixed manner in relation to the support core and in the region of its two ends is braced in a radially displaceable manner in relation to the support core by a respective additional bearing arrangement, whereby the radially extending center plane of both the support core bearing arrangement and the outer covering bearing arrangement lies axially within the outer covering, and the outer covering is displaceable in the region of its two ends respectively by an actuator arranged preferably within the outer covering.

A roller, in particular an expander roller, for a web-processing machine, has a support core, which is braced in the region of both its ends via a respective bearing arrangement, and an outer covering, which in its axially central region is braced in a radially fixed manner in relation to the support core and in the region of its two ends is braced in a radially displaceable manner in relation to the support core by a respective additional bearing arrangement, whereby the radially extending center plane of both the support core bearing arrangement and the outer covering bearing arrangement lies axially within the outer covering. Preferably the outer covering is displaceable in this case in the region of its two ends respectively by an actuator arranged within the outer covering.

The invention relates to a drying cylinder which is used to dry a paper, cardboard, tissue or other web of fibrous material in a machine for the production and/or for the transformation thereof. The drying cylinder includes a support body and an external cover layer which is heated by a hot fluid. The thermal flow passing through the external cover layer is increased such that at least one cavity is provided between the support body and the external cover layer through which the fluid flows. The external cover layer is predominately so thin that the ratio formed by the thermal conductivity of the material and the thickness of the external cover layer is greater than a threshold value of 3.2 kW/mK for steel, 30 kW/mK for aluminum, 18 kW/mK for bronze alloys, 3.4 kW/mK for copper and 6.1 kW/mK for magnesium.

Drying cylinder

A rotary part, in particular a spreader roller for a web-processing machine has a supporting core with a longitudinal axis, said supporting core being mounted at its two longitudinal ends, and having an elastically flexible outer sleeve which surrounds the supporting core in its circumferential direction and extends, in at least some sections, between the two longitudinal ends of the supporting core. The outer sleeve on the supporting core is non-displaceably mounted on at least one bearing and that the outer sleeve is mounted on at least one displacing point at a distance from the bearing so as to be displaceable perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the supporting core in order for the curvature of the outer sleeve to be adjustable.
