An electronic control unit to control an engine control module of an engine is disclosed. The electronic control unit may receive a machine input associated with the engine. The electronic control unit may select, based on the machine input, a lug mapping from a plurality of lug mappings for controlling a load of the engine. The electronic control unit may control, using the lug mapping, power output of the engine and power to a propulsion module of the machine to satisfy a drawbar power/torque threshold and steering power torque threshold associated with the machine.

Control of an engine for a machine with a dual path powertrain

A track-type machine is disclosed. The track-type machine may comprise an electric drive powertrain including an internal combustion engine, a winch assembly having a drum rotatably supporting a cable so that the cable is reeled in or reeled out at a winch line speed when the drum is rotating, and an implement controller configured to activate the winch assembly for reeling in and reeling out the cable. The track-type machine may further comprise a hydraulic circuit driven by the internal combustion engine and configured to actuate a rotation of the drum when the winch assembly is activated by the implement controller. In addition, the track-type machine may further comprise a control system configured to increase an engine speed of the internal combustion engine when the winch assembly is activated by the implement controller.

Winch line speed control for a track-type machine having an electric drive powertrain

A control system for use with a machine having an engine is disclosed. The control system may have a cooling circuit, a heat exchanger associated with the cooling circuit, and a sensor configured to generate a signal indicative of a temperature of the cooling circuit. The cooling system may also have a fan mechanically driven by the engine to direct air through the cooling circuit, and a controller in communication with the sensor and the engine. The controller may be configured to adjust a speed of the engine based on the signal.

A fuel injector is disclosed. The fuel injector includes an injector valve needle and a valve actuation assembly including a stator, an armature, and a valve, the valve in fluid communication with the injector valve needle. A stator protection device is positioned between the stator and at least a portion of the armature. The stator protection device is configured to prevent contact between the stator and the armature.
