A cable connector includes a cable having wire pairs and contacts in contact pairs. The contacts of the contact pairs may be simultaneously crimped to the corresponding wires by a crimp tool. Pair holders hold the contact pairs with an overmolded body molded around supporting bases of the contacts of the contact pair to fix relative positions of the contacts. The cable connector includes a pair shield having shield elements forming shield pockets receiving wire pairs, contact pairs, and pair holders. The cable connector includes a retainer having a retainer cavity that receives the wire pairs and the pair shield. The retainer includes a contact support to support the pair holders and the contact pairs. The cable connector includes an outer shell having an outer shell cavity that receives the retainer and provides electrical shielding for the contact pairs.

Cable connector

An RF module includes a contact insert having a separable shielding body retaining an RF contact. The RF contact includes an RF mating tip connected to a signal tail. The mating tip and the signal tail extend out of shielding body. The shielding body includes first and second body members. The RF contact is positioned within the first body member and the second body member is removably secured to the second body member so that at least a portion of the RF contact is contained between the first and second body members. The RF module may also include a grounding block. The contact insert may be removably secured within the grounding block.

RF module

A header connector includes socket contacts having a socket portion extending along a longitudinal axis that defines a reception area configured to receive a mating contact. A housing extends along a central axis between mating and mounting ends and has contact channels open between the mating and mounting ends that receive the socket contacts. The housing has a primary plane and a secondary plane with the contact channels being arranged symmetrically about the primary plane and the secondary plane such that the housing is configured to be mated with a receptacle connector in a first orientation and a second orientation different than the first orientation.

Symmetric header connector

A contact includes a conductive portion, a wire-receiving portion and a bundle of wound wires. The conductive portion has a compliant portion extending from a first end thereof. The compliant portion is configured to be positioned in an opening of a panel. The wire-receiving portion has a wire-receiving channel provided thereon. The bundle of wound wires is mounted in the wire-receiving channel and has a contact section which is configured to engage a mating connector.
