Wire plate for notification appliance

A notification appliance () includes a lighting element () and strobe drive electronics () mounted on a single printed circuit board (). A lens () is mounted to the printed circuit board () over the lighting element (). The lens () includes a cavity () disposed over the lighting element (). The lens () is shaped to focus light from the lighting element () into a far-field lighting pattern () including a visible first arc () that subtends approximately a 90&#xb0; angle in a first plane, a visible second arc () that subtends approximately a 180&#xb0; angle in a second plane, and two visible spots (), each spot () on an opposite side of the first arc () from the other. A lens () for a notification appliance () is also disclosed.

Lens for a notification strobe

A light pattern generating device is provided and includes light sources arrayed at ninety degree intervals from each other and lenses arrayed in respective positional association with the light sources such that, when the light sources are activated, the light sources and the lenses generate at least a UL 1971 compliant light pattern.

Notification device for a surface of a building interior

A lens for forming a predetermined pattern from a light source includes a first region of an inner surface configured to receive light from the light source and to bend the light into a first line segment. The lens includes a second region of the inner surface configured to receive the light from the light source and to bend the light into a second line segment perpendicular to the first line segment, the first line segment forming a cross of a 'T' and the second line segment forming the stem of the 'T'.

Lens assembly

A modular reflector assembly includes two portions arranged symmetrically at a common plane. Each portion includes a first surface defined by a first parabola rotated to a first angle relative to the plane and a second surface abutting the first surface defined by a second parabola rotated to a second angle greater than the first angle. A third surface abuts the second surface and is defined by a third parabola rotated to a third greater than the second angle. A fourth surface abuts the third surface and is defined by a fourth parabola rotated to a fourth angle greater than the third angle. A fifth surface abuts the first surface and is defined by a fifth parabola rotated in the common plane to a fifth angle relative to the first axis.

Strobe assembly

A mass notification system including one or more alarms for notification of two or more emergency classes. Each alarm can include a lens, a strobe for illuminating the lens with a first light color during activation of the strobe, and a light source such as a light emitting diode for illuminating the lens with a second light color different from the first light color during activation of the light source. During activation of the lens with the light source, the lens appears to be the color emitted by the light source. The alarm can be configured to notify occupants of a first emergency class by activating only the strobe and to notify occupants of a second emergency class by activating both the strobe and the light source. An alarm configured to provide notification of two or more emergency classes can thus use a single lens and a single strobe.
