The invention relates to crimping pliers wherein a die comprises two die half units. The die half units each comprise a die half and a bearing body. The bearing body is supported in an associated bearing accommodation of a pliers jaw. The die halves are supported by a rotational bearing for being rotated about a crimping axis relative to the bearing body. According to the invention it is possible to assemble and disassemble the bearing body of the die half unit to and from the bearing accommodation of the pliers jaw without the use of any tool. It is also possible that a latching or locking device is used for the assembly.

Crimping pliers, die half unit and method for the assembly

The invention relates to a hand pliers tool which might be embodied as crimping pliers, tube pressing pliers or cutting pliers. According to the invention, pliers pivoting parts are not (exclusively) connected to each other for being pivoted by bearing bolts arranged in bearing bores. Instead, pivot bearings are formed by bearing lugs having edge openings by which it is possible to insert a bearing pin into the bearing lug.

The invention relates to a crimping pliers die () comprising two die half units (). The die half units () are guided by a guide () relatively to each other over the crimping stroke. Crimping surfaces () of the die halves () are formed by front surfaces of engaging ribs (). Manual pliers of different types and/or geometries are described. The manual pliers have a modular design. Here, without any adaptations of the design, a base module can be combined with different pliers head modules. The modular design makes it possible to reduce the manufacturing costs and to use a large number of same parts for manufacturing manual pliers of different types.

The invention relates to a manually operated pliers tool, which may especially be crimping pliers. According to the invention, the pliers tool is equipped with an electronics construction unit. The electronics construction unit is realized separately from a mechanical pliers part and arranged in a pliers head part of the mechanical pliers part, which is arranged between hand levers and pliers jaws. The electronics construction unit is attached to this pliers head part. The electronics construction unit extends at least on two opposite sides of the pliers head part, sandwiching the pliers head part, and comprises a connector, where the connector extends through or around the pliers head part between the two opposite sides of the pliers head part.

The invention relates to pressing tongs or crimping pliers (). The pressing tongs or crimping pliers () comprise a fixed pliers jaw () and a movable pliers jaw (). A closing motion of the movable pliers jaw () can be initiated by pivoting a movable hand lever () via a toggle lever drive (). According to the invention, a further lever (), especially in the form of an additional hand lever (), is provided. The further lever () is coupled to the movable pliers jaw () in such a way that when the further lever () is pivoted, an opening motion of the pliers jaw () into an insertion and/or removal position can be initiated.

Pressing tongs or crimping pliers

The invention relates to pressing or crimping pliers (). According to the invention a spring device () (which is e.g. embodied as U-shaped leaf spring ()) is used in the crimping pliers. In an equilibrium position () the leaf spring () is trapped between stops (). If the pressing or crimping pliers () are moved from the equilibrium position () in closing direction the leaf spring () is biased by a follower () such that the leaf spring () generates an opening force. In reversed direction the opening movement of the pressing or crimping pliers () from the equilibrium position () leads to a bias of the leaf spring () by a follower () such that the leaf spring is able to generate a closing force. According to the invention it is possible to provide that the pressing or crimping pliers () automatically and elastically open when reaching the closed position. Furthermore, a workpiece inserted into the pressing or crimping pliers () is clamped by a closing force and secured in this way.

The invention relates to a crimping pliers network () which comprises pressing pliers (), an electronic control unit () (in particular a smartphone or a tablet) as well as a data storage device () (in particular a cloud storage ()). According to the invention, a die () of the pressing pliers () comprises an identifier () which can be captured by a capturing device () of the pressing pliers. Data () from the data storage device () and being specific for the captured identifier () is provided to the control unit (). The data might be a desired pressing force curve (), a desired pressing displacement curve () and/or information concerning a workpiece for which the dies () are designated. In this way, it is possible to increase the process safety when using the crimping pliers (). Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for pressing a workpiece.

The invention relates to crimping pliers () having a pliers jaw () on which a die half () is supported. A crimping force biasing the die half () is sensed in the crimping pliers by a force sensor. The force sensor is a piezo foil () mounted to the pliers jaw. The force sensor senses the whole crimping force or only a crimping force component from which it is then possible to calculate the whole crimping force.

A pivoting pliers jaw () having a design including plates for manually actuated crimping pliers (). The pliers jaw plates () form an accommodation for a die insert or support the accommodation. According to the invention the pivoting pliers jaw () is L-shaped. Bolts () for mounting the pliers jaw plates () to the supporting plate () are arranged in a way such that a connecting axis of the longitudinal axes of the bolts () have an orientation approximately perpendicular to a supporting plane () for the effective crimping force.

The invention relates to a pressing tool, crimping tool or cutting tool () with a tool jaw () which is supported at a supporting body () by a guidance () having a remaining measuring degree of freedom (). The tool jaw () is supported at the supporting body () in the direction of the measuring degree of freedom () by a mechanical parallel arrangement of an elastic supporting element () and a sensor (). Here, the stiffness of the elastic supporting element () is dimensioned such that for the maximum of the effective working force of the pressing tool, crimping tool or cutting tool () the sensor () has a maximum deflection of at least 0.1 mm or at least 1&#xb0;.

The present invention relates to a set of interchangeable crimp units for a crimping machine. According to the invention each crimp unit comprises an integrated sensor for measuring a crimping force or a crimping displacement during the crimping process.
