Metal amine complexes are formed from amines adhering to the general formulas ##STR1## by reaction with various metal salts. Prior to reaction with various metal salts, the above amines may first be reacted with a formaldehyde source or with a formaldehyde source followed by an epoxide or with an epoxide or with an epoxide followed by a formaldehyde source. This invention relates to stabilizer compositions for polymers comprising (1) an organotin compound, or mixture of organotin compounds, (2) a mercaptan-containing organic compound or mixture of mercaptan-containing organic compounds, and, optionally, (3) a halogen-containing tin compound or mixture of halogen-containing tin compounds, said stabilizers having a total halogen content of about 0.1% to about 10% by weight based on the weight of the stabilizer composition.
