The present disclosure relates to a method for straightening of a tube comprising a ferritic FeCrAl-alloy. One reason for the challenges regarding the cold working of a hollow of a ferritic FeCrAl-alloy into a finished tube is that FeCrAl-alloys have a low ductility. Even if a tube of a FeCrAl-alloy is obtained by cold working a hollow into a tube, the tube can hardly be straightened. This is even more a problem if a tube obtained is annealed, wherein the annealing leads to a deformation of tube along the longitudinal direction of the tube. Therefore, there is a need for a method for straightening of a tube comprising a ferritic FeCrAl-alloy. Thus, according to the present disclosure a method for straightening of a tube is suggested, wherein the method comprises the steps of providing a tube comprising a ferritic FeCrAl-alloy, heating the tube, and straightening and forming the heated tube by stretching.

Under an aspect of the present disclosure a system of this type is suggested, wherein the inner structure is coated with at least one layer of at least one plastic material.

Pilger rolling mill for working a hollow into a tube has a first roll stand mounted linearly moveable in a direction of motion. Translational motion of the roll stand causes rotational motion of the drive gear due to the cogging of the drive gear with the gear rack and, hence, also rotational motion of the roller arranged on the shaft of the drive gear and rotational motion of the other one of the two rollers in the opposite direction. Roll stand is connected with a crank drive and rotational motion of a motor drive is transformed into an oscillating translational motion of the roll stand by a connecting rod. Gear rack holder allows adjustment of the pilger rolling mill with respect to tube diameters of finished rolled tubes by arranging the first roll stand exchangeable by a second roll stand with a second dimension being different from the first dimension.

A roll straightening machine for straightening an elongated string member includes at least one first straightening roll rotatably mounted around a first rotation axis, and at least one second straightening roll rotatably mounted around a second rotation axis. The first and second rotation axis and rolls are oblique with respect to a longitudinal axis of an elongated string member to be received in the roll straightening machine, and also oblique with respect to one another. In order to provide a roll straightening machine that can be set up flexibly for different requirement profiles, the first rotation axis is mounted on a first holding device and the second rotation axis is mounted on a second holding device. The first and the second holding devices are supported by a frame in a removable manner, which is arranged to receive a variable number of holding devices having the straightening rolls.

A cold pilger rolling mill including a front mandrel thrust block that has a distance of at least 30 m from a feed chuck, measured with the feed clamping carriage at the rear reversal point thereof. The distance is measured between the rear (in the feed direction of the hollow) end of the chuck of the front mandrel thrust block and the front (in the feed direction of the hollow) end of the feed chuck of the feed clamping carriage at the rear reversal point thereof.

The present invention relates to a method for forming a hollowof a ferritic FeCrAl alloy into a tube. While tubes made of powder metallurgical, dispersion hardened, ferritic FeCrAl alloys are commercially available, hollows made of FeCrAl alloys so far can hardly be formed into tubes of small dimensions. The major reason for the problems in forming hollows of a ferritic FeCrAI alloy into a finished product is that FeCrAl alloys are brittle. It is therefore an aspect of the present invention to provide a tubemade of a ferritic FeCrAl alloy having arbitrary small dimensions. Furthermore, it is an aspect of the present invention to provide a machineand a method for forming a tubular hollowinto a finished tubeof a ferritic FeCrAl alloy. At least one of the above aspects is addressed by a method for forming a hollow into a tubecomprising the steps providing the hollowof a ferritic FeCrAl alloy, heating the hollowto a temperature in a range from 90&#xb0; C. to 150&#xb0; C., and forming the heated hollowby pilger milling or drawing into the tube.

Method for manufacturing a tube of metal in which sensors are attached to tubes, which register and signal a damage of the tube. It is detrimental that protection of the sensors at these tubes against environmental influences is complex. In contrast, it is an object of the present disclosure to provide a method for manufacturing a tube, in which the signal line can be protectively mounted. Process for producing a high-grade steel tube and high-grade steel tube

A method for manufacturing a strand from a stainless steel by cold forming a billet into the cold-hardened strand and subsequently annealing the strand is provided. The method allows stainless steel strands to be produced, which have both a high tensile strength, as well as a high degree of elongation. The strand is heated to a temperature ranging from 400&#xb0; C. to 460&#xb0; C. while the strand is being annealed, and the cold-hardened strand is surrounded by a protective gas atmosphere during the heating process.
