A method is for inserting a further data block into a first ledger, the first ledger including data blocks. In an embodiment, the method includes receiving a further medical dataset via an interface; determining the further data block via a calculation unit. The further data block includes the further medical dataset and a further link information. The further link information includes a hash of at least one of the data blocks of the first ledger. Finally, in an embodiment the method includes inserting the further data block into the first ledger via the calculation unit.

A movie generation preset selection associated with the scan data is received. Anatomical landmarks within the scan data are detected. A system, a method and a computer program product for monitoring a screen configuration process for a sequence of medical images on a remote client are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, a central server includes a rendering module and a marker generator in order to mark the sequence of images to be displayed as a DESIRED sequence of images and transfer it to the remote client. In addition to a remote-client application, an observer module and a warning signal transmitter are provided on the remote client. The observer module is used to compare the DESIRED sequence of images with the ACTUAL sequence of images. In the event of a lack of conformity, the warning signal transmitter issues a warning signal on the remote-client monitor.

A method and a system are disclosed for the remote control of a viewer via a remote application. Communication between the control application and the viewer, installed on a remote computer, takes place via an agent. The agent exchanges data with the viewer via two communication channels, an RDP connection and an RVIC channel. In an embodiment, each image in a sequence of images to be displayed is identified by an identifier and assigned to a transmission indicator. The transmission indicator indicates how the image is to be transmitted (lossless or lossy). The agent then generates a modified dedicated sequence of images, which is transmitted to the viewer. The viewer is then able to check the reliability of the received modified sequence of images.

In a method for storing and providing medical image data in a distributed, computer-based system of a clinical facility comprising multiple satellites, wherein a satellite has at least one modality, an image administration server and at least one local database, and wherein the clinical facility also has a central database for the administration of the stored image data and a central long-term storage for long-term storage, the image data are acquired at the modality, the image data include metadata and pixel data, partial metadata in the metadata of the acquired image data are marked, at least the metadata of the image data acquired are locally stored at the respective satellites, the image data of the image data acquired at the respective satellites are centrally stored in the central long-term storage, all metadata stored in the local database in the central database are completely, centrally replicated, and the marked partial metadata of the image data from the central database are partially, automatically replicated at respective local databases of one, multiple or all satellites in order to be able to provide these image data at the satellites.

A communication link can be established by way of a radio interface between a first mobile communication facility and a second mobile or permanently stationary communication facility. In at least one embodiment, an item of identification information is made available by one of the communication facilities as an optical signal for receipt at the cited sensor; the communication facility, to which the sensor receiving the optical signal belongs, accepts the identification information and transfers the accepted identification information as a request to set up a communication link via the radio interface with the communication facility, which makes or has made the optical signal available. The requested communication facility implements a comparison between the accepted identification information and its own identification information and permits the setup of the communication link as a function of the comparison result.
