A method for detecting stereo images includes receiving an image and analyzing at least a portion of the image. The method further includes determining whether the image is a stereo image based on the analysis. The method may include determining if a portion of the image contains an expected icon, may determine if left and right halves of the image contain expected symmetry, may determine if histograms of the left and right halves are similar, or the like. The method further includes generating a confidence value related to the determination of whether the image is stereo or non-stereo, the confidence value indicating a likelihood that the determination is correct.

Systems and methods for stereo content detection

An electronic device, method, and computer readable medium for a consistent spherical photo and video orientation correction. The electronic device includes a memory and at least one processor. The at least one processor is operably connected to the memory. The at least one processor is configured to capture orientation information corresponding to a spherical frame. The at least one processor is also configured to reorient the spherical frame using the orientation information. The at least one processor is further configured to store the reoriented spherical frame.

A system and method for substantially preventing firewall generated communication losses in regard to communications by authorized users in a managed computer network system is provided. The method comprises transmitting one or more status inquiry commands to at least one node in the managed computer network system, wherein the status inquiry command requests a first quantity of objects from the at least one node; receiving a non-zero quantity of objects response from the at least one node; and limiting communications through the firewall in the managed computer network system with the at least one node to a message size substantially equivalent to the received non-zero quantity of objects response from the at least one node, thereby substantially preventing firewall generated communication losses in the managed computer network system.

System and method for determining a maximum packet data unit (PDU) payload transmission size for communicating in a managed computer network system

The present invention comprises a method and apparatus for automatic discovery of logical links between network devices. In one embodiment, the present invention comprises part of a network management system ('NM') that manages a discrete set of network devices. The NM sends SNMP queries to individual network devices managed by the NM to obtain interface configuration data for each of the network interfaces of the device. The information requested includes destination information ('next hop' or &#x201c;neighbor&#x201d; IP address) for data packets sent from the interface. The NM checks to see whether a logical link corresponding to the received configuration information already exists in a logical link database maintained by the NM. If such a link exists the NM checks to see if the existing information for the link is valid. If the existing link data is valid, no change is made. If the existing information is not valid, or if no corresponding link is found in the link database, the NM creates a new link corresponding to the new configuration information. In one or more embodiments, the NM displays a graphical view of the discovered IP links on a graphical network map.

Method and apparatus for automatic discovery of logical links between network devices

A network management system, and a method of, centrally provisioning a full transport LSP mesh and a full targeted LDP signaling session mesh in support of VPN services provisioning are provided. A network management system repository tracks Provider Edge nodes (PE) having label switch router functionality, transport LSP meshes and targeted LDP session meshes. The method includes selecting PE nodes for inclusion in a node group, identifying PE node pairs, and issuing commands to paired PE nodes to commission managed transport LSPs and targeted LDP signaling sessions. The advantages are derived from the full mesh LSP content transport provisioning and targeted LDP signaling session provisioning effected in a centralized network management context enabling service providers to: assure network resiliency, assure service quality, and provide accounting, in respect of Layer-and Layer-VPN services irrespective of client side deployed infrastructure while leveraging installed infrastructure in the service provider communications network core. Additional advantages are derived from increased operations management personnel productivity while reducing the probability of human error compared to manual provisioning thereof enabling wide availability of VPN services.

Full mesh LSP and full mesh T-LDP provisioning between provider edge routers in support of Layer-2 and Layer-3 virtual private network services

The solution provides automated Command Line Interface (CLI) based configuration management of managed communications network entities. The automation eliminates manual CLI command entry and provides support for independently-developed multi-vendor equipment by using multiple CLI command vocabularies and CLI command dictionaries associated therewith. The solution reduces communications network entity management costs, downtime, and training time for analysts. The advantages are derived from a generic design of software applications and a manageable object type derivation hierarchy, reducing operational over heads by shielding thereof from updates to the CLI command grammar and/or vocabulary. The methods and apparatus presented herein remove the need for software applications and manageable object type derivation hierarchy to be hard-coded with knowledge of attribute dependencies of CLI commands for each vendor equipment/type supported. The deployment of generically coded manageable object type derivation hierarchy and software applications, is easier to develop and maintain, and would therefore benefit from reduced costs.
