Discharge lamp with capacitive socket

A headlight for vehicles has a headlight housing, a light source arranged in the headlight housing, an electrical supply unit provided for the light source and arranged on the headlight housing, the headlight housing in the region of at least a part of the supply unit being provided with an opening, a metallic cooling body closing the opening of the headlight housing, and a cooling body being formed so that the at least a part of the supply unit is arranged inside the headlight housing on the cooling body.

A discharge lamp assembly has a discharge lamp, and an ignition device for the discharge lamp, the ignition device including at least one inductive component and at least one capacitive component, at least a part of one of the components being surrounded by at least a part of the other of the components, the ignition device further having a housing in which the components are arranged and which is connectable with the discharge lamp.

A discharge lamp, having a base part, a discharge vessel connected with the base part, at least two electrodes arranged in said discharge vessel, the discharge vessel prior to connection with the base part being movable relative to the base part for adjustment, a receiving element fixable on the discharge vessel, an intermediate member formed so that discharge vessel is connectable with intermediate member through receiving element, discharge vessel being movable through receiving element relative to intermediate member for an adjustment, and after a performed adjustment is fixable on intermediate member, intermediate member being movable for an adjustment of discharge vessel relative to the base part and fixable after a performed adjustment on the base part.

Discharge lamp

A headlight has a housing accommodating a gas discharge lamp and opening is closeable by a closing part. The gas discharge lamp is connectable by an electrical conductor with a voltage source, which is provided with a plug connection. The first plug part is arranged on the housing while the second plug part is releasable from outside of the housing. The releasable plug part blocks the cover in its position in which it closes the opening so that a removal of the cover for releasing the opening can be performed only after removal of the plug part. It is therefore guaranteed that no voltage applies to the parts of the headlight.

A plug has a two-part housing accommodating a printed board with an electrical screening element for preventing propagation of electrical disturbing radiation during the operation of a gas discharge lamp. A mass of a durable elastic material such as silicon is applied on a part of the periphery of at least one screening element between the screening element and the adjoining housing part. The inner space of the housing is filled with a casting mass of an electrically insulating material in which also an elastic mass is enclosed. The elastic mass uncouples the screening element from the housing and from the casting mass, so that a thermal expansion of the screening element is possible and also vibrations of the plug are not rigidly transmitted to the screening element.

A control device, in particular for motor vehicles has a metal housing, a printed board provided with a circuit and surrounded at least partially by the metal housing, a plug connection having a plug insert with at least one plug contact connected with the printed board, and a metal casing which at least partially surrounds the plug insert. The casing extending substantially inside the housing close to the printed board.
