A semi-circular male alignment feature elastic averaging alignment system utilizing a plurality of semi-circular male alignment features which interface by elastic averaging with a plurality of female alignment features, wherein semi-circular male alignment features of a first component are received during a mating process by respective female alignment features formed in a second component, whereby precise alignment of the first and second components and stiffness are provided by elastic averaging of the male and female alignment features.

An adjustable hinge assembly for a vehicle deck lid includes an adjustment pin received in a hinge pin that is adjustable to cause the deck lid to become flush with adjacent vehicle body structure. The adjustment pin includes a tool engagement feature that allows for adjustment of the hinge assembly from within the trunk. A second tool engagement feature allows for adjustment of the hinge from outside of the trunk.

An adjustable hinge assembly for a vehicle closure is disclosed. The adjustable hinge assembly includes an adjustment pin received in a hinge pin and is adjustable to cause the closure to become flush with adjacent vehicle body structure. The adjustable hinge assembly may be employed with a deck lid of a vehicle to allow for a flushness adjustment of the deck lid relative to adjacent vehicle quarter panels.
