In a device for preparing process gases () for heat treatments of metallic materials/workpieces, the respective process gas () is to be fed into at least one treatment chamber () in an industrial furnace () having been practically fully prepared, homogenised and heated, and the method is to be carried out both with newly built and particularly with already existing installations of industrial furnaces () with the aid of the device, wherein the process gas () is prepared with compression at temperatures uncoupled from the temperature in the treatment chamber (), in a process separate from the heat treatment process in the treatment chamber (), and in a temperature range up to about 1250&#xb0; C., and is rendered usable for economical and low-emission heat treatment (FIG.).

Device for conditioning process gases for the heat treatment of metallic work pieces in industrial furnaces

For regulating process gases for heat treatments of metal materials/workpieces in industrial furnaces (), which have at least one treatment chamber (), at least one burnoff point () having at least one first valve (), and a regulator () having pressure meter (), the burnoff point () is only to be opened as a function of requirements related to the process gas. For this purpose, in a first step, with open first valve (), a quantity of a flushing gas () of the gas mixture () of the respective process gas is supplied in a controlled manner to the industrial furnace () and then burned off, in a second step, the valve () is closed, the industrial furnace () is regulated to a preset furnace pressure and this is permanently detected via the pressure meter (), in a third step, with the target pressure of the industrial furnace achieved, this pressure is detected via the pressure meter () and maintained, the first valve () further remaining closed. In a fourth step, the flushing gasification can be activated and adjusted. In the event of large pressure rise, in a fifth step, an overpressure flap () of the burnoff point () can be opened in a controlled manner via a fixed limiting value for pressure dissipation.

Method for conditioning process gases for the heat treatment of metallic work pieces in industrial furnaces

A method and computer program for the control of the heat treatment of batches of metal workpieces for increasing the degree of automation of industrial furnace plants presumes an identical batch layout, an identical treatment program, and an identical article geometry of metal workpieces and relates it to a model batch, which has been run using batch thermoelements. The model batch becomes the foundation for a new batch. Through the assumption of program parameters of the actually run process of the model batch into the program of the new batch to be run, new batch thermoelements are not required for the new batch to be run.

Method and computer program for controlling the heat treatment of metal workpieces

In order to plan the performance of heat treatment of metal workpieces before the beginning of the heat treatment in the particular industrial furnace and perform it autonomously thereafter, the invention proposes a method and computer program and an apparatus having a computer () for the automatic preparation of technological formulas for the heat treatment, firstly loading parameters of a selected material of the metal workpiece and a formula structure template of a selected treatment method from a material databank () and providing data from a user interface and compiling a formula structure, then establishing the parameters of the metal workpiece, the compiled formula structure, and the data from the user interface as values of formula segments, from which the technological formula for heat treatment is finally generated, this technological formula being able to be readjusted, stored in a program databank (), and retrieved for the heat treatment of metal workpieces in industrial furnaces ()(FIG.).
