The invention relates to a machine for producing and/or further processing a fibrous web, said machine comprising a press part and a drying part. The press part comprises only one press nip, and the first or second drying group of the dry part comprises an air-flow drying unit.

Paper machine comprising a single nip press

Machine and process for at least one of producing and finishing a fibrous material web. The machine includes a press section, for dewatering the fibrous web, with a press nip, a former, located before, relative to a web travel direction, the press section for sheet formation, and a dryer section, located after the press section for drying the fibrous material web including a first dryer section having no more than three dryer cylinders. Two press rolls are arranged to form the press nip, and at least one press felt is located on each surface of the material web, such that the material web and the at least one press felt on each side of the material web are guided through the press nip. The fibrous material web is dewatered in the former to a dry content of at least approximately 18%, partially loops around the no more than three dryer cylinders, and is constantly supported from the former to an end of the first dryer group. The process includes dewatering the fibrous material web in the former to dry content of at least approximately 18%, dewatering the fibrous material web in only one press nip in the press section, and looping the fibrous material web around no more than three dryer cylinders in a first dryer group of the dryer section a dryer section. The fibrous material web is constantly supported between the former and an end of the first dryer group.

Paper machine and process

Process and apparatus for dewatering a fibrous material web. The process includes guiding the fibrous material web through a dewatering zone, and directing a plurality of gas pressure pulses of a pressurized displacement gas one after the other onto a surface of the fibrous material web within the dewatering zone. The apparatus includes a device for forming a plurality of gas pressure pulses which are arranged one after the other within the dewatering zone. The plurality of gas pressure pulses are directed onto a surface of the fibrous material web.

Process and device for dewatering a fibrous material web

Apparatus and process for dewatering a material web. The apparatus includes at least one pressure chamber formed by at least four substantially parallel rolls, a device arranged to introduce a pressurized gas into the at least one pressure chamber, and the at least four substantially parallel rolls being displaceable relative to one another to change an effective area of the at least one pressure chamber. The material web is guided through the at least one pressure chamber. The process includes pressurizing at least one pressure chamber with a gas medium, guiding the material web through the pressure chamber, driving water out of the material web using gas pressure within the at least one pressure chamber, and changing an effective area of the pressure chamber so as to adjust a dewatering capacity.

Device for dewatering a material web

Twin-wire former for producing a fibrous material web from a fibrous suspension and process for separating upper and lower wires of the twin-wire former. The twin-wire former includes a twin-wire zone composed of a lower wire and an upper wire and a plurality of rolls including an inlet roll and an outlet roll. The upper wire is guidable over the plurality of rolls, the inlet roll guides the upper wire to the twin-wire zone, and the outlet roll guides the upper wire toward the inlet roll. A wedge-shaped inlet zone is formed between the upper wire and the lower wire and has an adjustable inlet wedge angle. An upper wire subassembly includes a drainage box adapted to receive suspension water that flows upwardly through the upper wire, and further includes a pivotable common support device, to which the drainage box and the inlet roll are mounted. A stroke device is coupled to the pivotable common support device to lift the pivotable common support device around a first horizontal axle. In this manner, the inlet wedge angle is varied during former operation. After a maximal inlet wedge angle is formed, continued lifting of the pivotable common support device by the stroke device causes the upper wire subassembly to lift up from the lower wire, thereby separating the upper wire from the lower wire. A second horizontal pivot axle associated with the upper wire subassembly and located in a region of the outlet roll is provided. The separating of the upper and lower wires occurs around the second horizontal pivot axle. The process includes lifting the common support device with the stroke device, such that the common support device is pivotably supported by the first horizontal axle and the inlet wedge angle is increased, and, upon maximally increasing the inlet wedge angle, further lifting the common support device with the stroke device, such that the common support device is pivotably supported by the second horizontal axle and is disengaged from the first horizontal axle. In this manner, the upper wire is lifted up from the lower wire.
