The disclosure relates to gripping units for handling devices of processing machines, e.g., for handling plate-shaped workpieces, including a plurality of vacuum cups that are provided on a main body and are arranged relative to one another to form at least one cup field, and at least one cup field can be subjected to negative pressure for handling the workpiece, wherein at least one holding unit is provided on the main body, the holding unit has at least one sealing element and surrounds at least one cup field, and has at least one actuation unit for applying a negative pressure for the at least one sealing element to act on the plate-shaped workpiece.

Gripping units for handling devices of processing machines

A loading and unloading device for a machine, a machine for machining panel-like workpieces, and a workpiece support for such a machine and a method for loading and unloading such a machine, having a loading and unloading module, wherein the loading and unloading module has a vertically upwardly oriented raising device for lifting a cut-free workpiece part and a vertically downwardly oriented gripping device () for holding an unmachined, panel-like workpiece.

Machine workpiece handling

Devices for separating two workpiece parts, e.g., metal sheets, from one another are described and include a workpiece mounting, a lifting device arranged on one side of the workpiece mounting, and a counter-holder arranged on the opposite side of the workpiece mounting. The counter-holder can be transferred into a fixing state and into a releasing state. One of the workpiece parts to be separated from one another is provided as a removal part, the other as a remaining part. For separating the two workpiece parts, the removal part, which is acted upon by the lifting device and supported by the counter-holder, can be moved by means of the lifting device perpendicular to the mounting in relation to the remaining part by a removal movement. At least in the releasing state, the counter-holder forms a rigid abutment in the lifting direction for the removal part. The rigid abutment has the effect that the removal part is aligned parallel to the mounting. Machine-based systems include a processing unit for producing two workpiece parts from a sheet-like workpiece and a separating device as described herein. Methods for separating two workpiece parts of a sheet-like workpiece are carried out by means of the devices described herein and can be part of a machine-based process.

Device and method for mutual separation of two workpiece components of a plate-like workpiece

The present invention is directed toward a method for operating a vacuum generator using pressure fluid to generate the vacuum. The vacuum generator has a pressure port for pressure fluid supply, and a suction point. During a work cycle, the pressure fluid supply is activated at least once and then deactivated again at least once. An active period is measured during which the pressure fluid supply is activated during the work cycle.

A vacuum gripping device comprising a plurality of suction bodies, each comprising a suction chamber for applying to a workpiece to be gripped, a suction valve is associated with each suction point, wherein each suction valve comprises a vacuum supply side for connection to a vacuum supply device and a suction side connected to the suction chamber of the assigned suction body, wherein the suction valve comprises a valve body, moveable between an open position and a closed position, wherein the valve body is arranged on a flexible control membrane which delimits a control chamber; in such a way that the valve body is moveable from the open position into the closed position using deformation of the control membrane, and wherein a membrane cloth extending across multiple or all suction points is arranged in the gripper housing.

Vacuum gripping device

Valve with a valve housing which has a vacuum supply side and a suction side, with a flexible dividing wall which delimits a control space in the valve housing. A valve body which is arranged on the flexible dividing wall and can be moved between an open position and a closed position, wherein the valve body has a sealing portion which, in the closed position, bears against a sealing seat in order to seal the vacuum supply side with respect to the suction side. The volume of the control space is reduced with deformation of the flexible dividing wall and the valve body is moved from the open position into the closed position. The valve body has a suction side passage, and the sealing portion and the sealing seat are arranged in such a way that, in the closed position, the flow connection through the suction side passage is sealingly closed.

Holding device for gripping workpieces with complex shapes or deformable surfaces

A valve has suction and vacuum supply sides and a valve housing inbetween, a flexible dividing wall delimiting a control space in the valve housing connected to the vacuum supply side via a vacuum passage, and a valve body arranged on the dividing wall moving between open/closed positions. The valve body has a sealing portion sealing off or opening up the vacuum passage in closed/open positions. Based on a control space vacuum, the volume of the control space reduces with a deformation of the dividing wall, and the valve body moves from the open to closed position. The valve body has a suction-side passage connecting the suction side to the control space so air is suctioned from the suction side into the control space, and penetrates the dividing wall with the sealing portion on one side and a guide portion on the other side of the dividing wall.

A gripper apparatus includes a receiving surface which faces an object for gripping purposes, and includes at least one electroadhesion section, which has at least one electrode, for exerting an electroadhesion force on the object. In order to reliably grip and hold an object, provision is made for the electroadhesion section for bearing against the object to be gripped to project beyond the receiving surface in the direction of the object which is to be gripped in such a way that a space which adjoins the receiving surface and the electroadhesion section is formed, and that the electroadhesion section is designed such that it can be deformed in such a way that it can be matched to the shape of the object which is to be gripped when it bears against said object.

A pneumatically actuated area vacuum gripper for gripping and, if necessary, separating workpieces is provided by the present disclosure. In particular, the vacuum gripper is used with thin, flexible workpieces, and has a suction chamber, which has a suction wall with perforations, to be placed on the workpiece. An ejector nozzle has a connection and an outlet, the ejection nozzle being connected to the suction chamber via its connection, and the outlet of the ejector nozzle opening to the outside or into an exhaust air duct, and the suction inlet of the ejector nozzle empties into the suction chamber, whereby the direction of the air stream in the connection coming from the suction chamber corresponds to the direction of the main air conveyance in the ejector nozzle.
