Climate control device for motor vehicle conveys and conditions inflowing air for a passenger compartment includes a housing with a diffuser, a mixing zone and at least two flow paths through which two flows can be conducted in parallel. A heating heat exchanger is disposed in a first flow path to heat an air mass subflow. A heat exchanger is provided for cooling and/or dehumidifying inflowing air. A bypass flow path is provided through which air can flow in parallel to a flow channel with the heat exchanger. At least one flow guide mechanism opens and closes the bypass flow path. flow channel and bypass flow path open out with outlet ports into mixing zone. Outlet port of a bypass flow path is developed for specific discharge of an air mass subflow into first flow path in proximity of an opening site of first flow path into a mixing zone.

Air conditioning system for multi-zone air conditioning of a motor vehicle interior comprising a casing with a mixing chamber and several zone outlets outgoing from mixing chamber, in which an evaporator and at least one heat exchanger are disposed such that main air flow from evaporator through at least one heat exchanger into zone outlets is linear and at least two bypass channels, each comprising a louver, in order to circumvent at least one heat exchanger connect a region downstream of evaporator and a region downstream of at least one heat exchanger, wherein the first bypass channel, as a mixing bypass channel, opens out into mixing chamber and the second bypass channel, as a stratification bypass channel, opens out into a zone outlet.

Air conditioning system and method for multi-zone air conditioning of a vehicle interior

The invention relates to a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system, particularly a flat, modular air conditioning unit for a motor vehicle, including an essentially box-shaped casing with a length y, a height z and a width x, and several air guiding and air distribution devices placed between an air inlet and an air outlet. Air conditioning devices, including a heat exchanger and a fan, are also provided. According to the invention the air conditioning devices are linearly arranged one after another along the length y of the casing. The heat exchanger is inclined relative to the length y of the casing by an angle a' and relative to the width x of the casing by an angle b&#x2032; such that y&#x3e;x&#x3e;z.

Air conditioning unit

A modular system for a 1-to-4 zone climate control system for vehicles, which is provided with at least one housing and several air tempering and air distribution devices including a fan, optionally a filter, an evaporator, a heater and several doors arranged at a partition that is placed orthogonal to the evaporator and provided to divide the total volume flow into two partial volume flows for the left and right vehicle sides. In the first configuration the partition is provided with several blind fittings for the closing of the flow paths associated with air outlets and air channels of a second configuration. In the second configuration, the blind fittings are replaced with additional doors enabling the use of the air outlets and air channels of additional zones.
