A loudspeaker system includes a line array assembly and a base for supporting the line array assembly. The line array assembly includes a plurality of electro-acoustic transducers arranged along a vertical axis and the base houses electronics for powering the line array assembly. The base and the line array assembly together define a flow path to facilitate a convective air flow to pass between the base and the line array assembly for cooling the electronics.

A loudspeaker assembly comprises an enclosure having a first end and a second end, the first end including an opening; an acoustic driver at the second end of the enclosure; an acoustic volume between the first end and the second of the enclosure; a circuit board at the first end of the enclosure; a firebox covering the opening at the first end of the enclosure, the firebox providing a convection flow path in the acoustic volume over heat-generating components of the circuit board; and a heat sink extending from the circuit board in a direction away from the acoustic volume for providing a conduction flow path through the circuit board.

Cooling techniques to improve thermal performance of electroacoustic device

A loudspeaker battery charging device comprises a three-position selector that establishes one of a first, second, or third charging mode for charging a battery of a loudspeaker. The first charging mode pertains to an off state of the loudspeaker. The second charging mode pertains to an on state of the loudspeaker. The third charging mode pertains to a fast charge state of the loudspeaker. A controller receives a signal from the three-position power switch indicating a selected charging mode of the first, second, or third charging mode. A switch circuit outputs a first power-supplying level in response to the first or second charging mode and outputs a second power-supplying level higher than the first power-supplying level in response to the third charging mode.

A modular horn type loudspeaker and a modular horn array formed of modular loudspeakers. An acoustic horn includes a first acoustic module. The first acoustic module includes a first acoustic driver and a first acoustic duct, for conducting acoustic energy from the first acoustic driver. The first acoustic duct has a first opening through which acoustic energy is radiated. The first acoustic duct is characterized by a first centerline. A second acoustic module includes a second acoustic driver and a second acoustic duct, for conducting acoustic energy from the acoustic driver. The second acoustic duct has a second opening through which acoustic energy is radiated. The second acoustic duct is characterized by a second centerline.

Modular acoustic horns and horn arrays

A stand that is adapted to support an upper loudspeaker cabinet relative to a lower loudspeaker cabinet. The stand has a first structure that is constructed and arranged to be directly coupled to a first portion of the lower loudspeaker cabinet in a stand stowed position wherein the stand is stowed on or in the lower loudspeaker cabinet, and a second structure that is constructed and arranged to be directly coupled to a second portion of the lower loudspeaker cabinet in a stand deployed position wherein the stand is supported by and extends above the lower loudspeaker cabinet. The stand is further constructed and arranged to support the upper loudspeaker cabinet when the stand is in the deployed position.
