A system and method for transmitting packets from a transceiver to a repeater in the presence of relative motion between the transceiver and the repeater. In some embodiments, the method includes: adjusting a plurality of transmission times; transmitting each of a plurality of packets, at a respective adjusted transmission time, from the transceiver to the repeater; and retransmitting, by the repeater, each of the packets, at a respective retransmission time, each of the retransmission times being, as a result of the adjusting, more nearly the same as it would have been, in the absence of: the relative motion, and the adjusting.

System and method for mitigating platform motion in a communications system

A system and method for stabilizing a reference clock of a client transceiver to a reference terminal in the presence of relative motion between the client transceiver and the reference terminal. In some embodiments, the method includes: transmitting, by the client transceiver, a probe packet to the reference terminal, receiving, by the client transceiver, the probe packet from the reference terminal, receiving, by the client transceiver, a first synchronization packet from the reference terminal, and adjusting the rate of the reference clock based on the time elapsed between: the transmitting, by the client transceiver of the probe packet to the reference terminal, and the receiving, by the client transceiver, the probe packet from the reference terminal; and based on the time of reception, by the client transceiver, of the probe packet.

According to aspects of the disclosure, a method is disclosed comprising: detecting a first hop to a first frequency in a hopping sequence, the first hop being performed by a transmitter in accordance with the hopping sequence; identifying a weighting vector that corresponds to a second frequency in the hopping sequence; obtaining an equalizer vector for the second frequency based on the weighting vector and an equalizer matrix, the equalizer matrix including a plurality of equalizer vectors, each equalizer vector corresponding to a different frequency in the hopping sequence; detecting a second hop from the first frequency to the second frequency, the second hop being performed by the transmitter in accordance with the hopping sequence; receiving a signal that is transmitted by the transmitter at the second frequency; and equalizing the signal by using the equalizer vector for the second frequency.
