A hair curler is provided having first and second hollow end tips. Each end tip has upper and lower clamping surfaces and has an open inner end. First and second spring clamps are within the first and second end tips, respectively. The first and second end tips are connected at their open inner ends. The first end tip is configured to hold one end of a lock of hair close to a user's scalp and the second end tip is configured to hold another end of the lock of hair after the lock of hair has been wound around the curler between the first and second end tips.

An integrally molded electrical connector 10 for interconnecting an array 60 of conductors of a first article 58 with a corresponding array 64 of conductors of a second article 62 includes a plurality of substantially rigid bifurcated tines joined by a bight section 30, each tine having arm portions 18, 24 deflectable toward each other; and compressible support means 46 extending between the arm portions 18, 24 of the tines 16; and continuous circuit means 36 defined along outer surfaces of tine arm portions 18, 24 and bight section 30. The array of tines is formed from a dielectric material. The compressible support means 46 has sufficient durometer to maintain contact normal force between the continuous circuit means 36 and the corresponding contact means of opposed first and second electrical articles 58, 62 upon the arm portions 18, 24 being compressively held between the pair of electrical articles 58, 62.

Multicircuit connector assembly

An electronic assembly is disclosed comprising a molded dielectric connector means including an electronic package mounted therewithin, the connector means 80 being adapted to be secured to a framework. The connector means includes first and second molded member 82,110 securable together at an interface. The first molded member has outwardly facing surface portion including an interconnection region 94, and includes compliant spring portions 90 integral therewith portions and extending outwardly therefrom at the interface. The compliant spring portions 90 are adapted to be deflected by the second molded member 110 upon assembly of the molded members. Circuit means 92 are included on the first molded member 82 and are defined along the outside surface portions and extending along outwardly facing surface portions of the compliant spring portions 90 and further extending to interconnection region 94. The second molded member 110 includes a portion engagable with the compliant spring portion 90 and circuit means 164, defined on said engagable portion. Upon assembly of the first and second molded members the conductive portions 164 of the second molded member 110 are held under compression against the spring circuit surface 91 and upon mounting the assembly to said framework, the interconnection section 94 of the first molded member circuitry is electrically connected to corresponding contact means along the framework. In the preferred embodiment, resilient member 93 is used to support the spring arm portions 90 to minimize stress on the spring portions 90.

Panel mounted electronic assembly

A sealed electrical connector 10 has first and second insulated body members 12, 38 and a plurality of terminal members. At least one body member 12 includes a first thermoplastic portion 14 and a second thermoset portion 24 formed in a common mold. The material for the thermoplastic portion 14 has a melting temperature T.sub.1 and the material for the thermoset portion 24 has a curing temperature T.sub.2 wherein T.sub.2 &lt;T.sub.1. The thermoplastic material is injected into a first mold cavity and is cooled to a temperature lower than T.sub.1 and higher than T.sub.2 to form a solid first body portion. An internal mold portion within the closed mold is moved to form an additional mold cavity adjacent the first mold cavity. The configuration of the second mold cavity is at least partially defined by part of a surface of the first body portion. The thermoset material is injected into the additional cavity at a temperature lower than T.sub.2. The thermoset material body member is cured by heat transmitted across the common interfacial surface 25 by the cooling of the thermoplastic material and the mold 72 in which the connector is formed. The thermoplastic material preferably is relatively rigid and forms an outer body section 14 and the thermoset material is relatively resilient and forms an inner body section 24 of the connector member.

Hand seeder

A grass catcher having a container and lid operatively attached to the lawn mower to receive grass cuttings in a grass catching mode and nestably related on the lawn mower in a storage mode for shipping. In the grass catching mode the lid is mounted to the lawn mower handle and includes downturned side flanges provided with a longitudinal guide track. The container is relatively deep and includes a rearwardly formed chute portion and upper side flanges engageable with the guide track, so that the container can be selectively separated from the lid. In the storage mode the container is inverted and disposed over the lawn mower motor assembly with the chute disposed rearwardly. The lid is nestably received by the container and can be shipped with the lawn mower in a container only slightly larger than that required to ship the lawn mower itself.

Lawn mower grass catcher assembly

A grass catcher having a lid with downturned side flanges, and a transverse web seating on a pair of rearwardly extending handle members. An interconnecting member on the side walls of a container selectively engages guide members on the side flanges of the lid for detachably connecting the container to the lid. The guide members are upwardly facing surfaces and provide rearwardly opening tracks. The interconnecting members are laterally extending flanges received in the tracks and seating on the upwardly facing surfaces. A pair of bottom opening, longitudinal channels in the lid web receive the handle members for holding the lid on the handle members before, during and after attachment of the container to the lid. A bail is pivotally mounted to the side walls at the front of the container, the bail having a portion seating on the laterally extending container flanges in its folded position and being received in the guide tracks of the lid when the container is attached. The bail supports and holds a hinged cover plate for the rear discharge opening of the mower in its open position when the container is attached to the lid, the cover plate disengaging from the bail to close the rear discharge opening when the container is detached from the lid.
