Data characterizing an image and/or a video of a predetermined region of a turbine engine is received. The turbine engine includes a blades configured to move relative to the predetermined region. A first blade of the blades is located in the predetermined region during a first time duration. Data characterizing inspection parameters from a turning tool device, including a motor and a motor controller, and turbine engine information are received. The motor controller is configured to rotate the plurality of blades of the turbine via the motor. The first blade is identified based on the inspection parameters including an initial configuration of the turning tool device and the first time duration, an annotated image and/or an annotated video is generated, at least a portion of the turbine engine information and the identity of the first blade is annotated onto the received image and/or the received video.

Inspecting rotating turbine blades

A non-destructive testing (NDT) system can provide a tree model of an inspection on a display of an NDT device and on a web page configured in a web browser on a computing device coupled to the NDT device. Inspection data acquired using the NDT device can be provided in real-time as the inspection data is associated with a node configured in the tree model. The NDT system can generate an inspection tree model based on an inspection template including a template tree model. Defect properties, inspection instructions, and/or image transforms can be applied to nodes of the template tree model such that the generated inspection tree model includes the applied defect properties, inspection instructions, and/or image transforms, which can then be applied to the inspection data acquired at the inspection point location corresponding to each node.

Systems and methods for menu directed inspection

Systems, methods, and tangible, non-transitory, computer readable media is described herein. For example, a system includes a portable non-destructive testing (NDT) device. The NDT device includes a display, a user interface, a memory storing an operations object having a first text in a first language, and a processor. The processor is configured to present the first text on the operations object via the display during an operation of the portable NDT device, and wherein the processor is configured to create a second text in a second language via the user interface of the NDT device, and to present the second text on the operations object as an alternative to the first text via the display during the operation of the NDT device.

Systems and methods for internationalization support

An inspection apparatus can be provided in a system with a workstation computer. In one embodiment, the inspection apparatus can include a user interface enabling the inspection apparatus to initiate, responsively to an action by an inspector, an IP based voice communication connection with an external computer of the system. In one embodiment, the inspection apparatus and the workstation computer can be in communication with a central server that can receive data collected by said the inspection apparatus and can receive data requests from the workstation computer.

The present invention is an improved check reader which, in addition to having magnetic ink character recognition capabilities, includes image sensing capabilities. A compact housing is provided which receives a document. Mounted on the housing are an imaging assembly, and a magnetic ink character reader, which form an indicia-determining unit, and a transport mechanism for transporting the indicia-determining unit and a received document relative to one another. The check reader further includes a data format engine in communication with the indicia-determining unit. When a document and the indicia-determining unit are transported relative to one another, the data-format engine captures a first electronic representation of indicia formed on the received document, and a second electronic representation of magnetic ink indicia on the received document.
