A scanning device includes a scan unit with a polygon mirror, pre-scan optics and post-scan optics. The pre-scan optics are arranged upstream of the polygon mirror in such a way that a beam bundle coming from the light source impinges on the polygon mirror at an angle of incidence (&#x3b1;) in a cross scan plane, and the optical axis of the post-scan optics is arranged in a reflection direction of the polygon mirror. Distortions, trapezoidal distortion and scan bow, occurring when imaging the light source on a scan line are minimized in that the cylindrical mirror of the post-scan optics is tilted at a first tilt angle (&#x3b2;) relative to the surface normals to the polygon mirror in the cross scan plane, and one of the two corrective lenses of the post-scan optics is tilted relative to the optical axis of the post-scan optics at a second tilt angle (&#x3b3;) and is arranged so as to be offset by a distance.

Scanning device

A lens mount for a strip lens is provided, in which the strip lens can be deformed substantially perpendicular to its optical axis, in order to linearize the imaging of a beam scanning over the strip lens. The lens mount includes a slotted distance strip, a support strip and a base plate. The support strip is rigidly connected to the strip lens via the distance strip that has only a very low bending stiffness and can be deformed relative to the base plate by means of adjusting screws, whereby the strip lens can be deformed. By inserting a distance strip, the installation space that is required for the lens mount is essentially moved away from the optical axis in order to provide, for example, installation space for adjacent optical or mechanical components.

An achromatic scanner in which pre-scan optics and post-scan optics are designed and disposed with respect to one another in such a way that for a light beam imaged onto the target surface a first image plane of the pre-scan optics coincides with a first object plane of the post-scan optics for a first beam portion and a second image plane of the pre-scan optics coincides with a second object plane of the post-scan optics for a second beam portion, wherein an image plane of the post-scan optics which lies on the target surface is associated with the first object plane of the post-scan optics and the second object plane of the post-scan optics.

In an arrangement for storing and transporting at least one optical component, it is the object of the invention to protect the optical components from contamination not only during their storage and transport, but also when installing them in operative condition in the optical projection beam path so as to ensure their readiness for immediate operation. This object is met in that every optical component is fastened in an aligned manner to a carrier that is provided in a vessel, and a manipulator acts on the carrier to transfer the carrier into an optical beam path enclosed by a cleanroom through an airlock opening which is formed when the vessel door is open. The arrangement can be used particularly when optics must be stored and manipulated so as to be protected from environmental influences.
