A medical device of an embodiment includes at least one movably mounted and motor-adjustable component; at least one drive unit for adjusting the at least one component; at least one motor control unit associated with the drive unit; and at least one sensing unit for sensing a position parameter dependent on the position of the at least one component. According to an embodiment of the invention, a safety function is integrated in the motor control unit. The safety function limits at least one operating parameter associated with the motion of the at least one component to be performed. An apparatus control unit controls the drive unit in dependence on the position parameter in accordance with the safety function. At least one embodiment of the invention further relates to a method for operating a medical device.

A stand is for a medical imaging system. In an embodiment, the stand includes an X-ray tube; a driver to adjust the X-ray tube in at least three spatial degrees of freedom; at least one environmental sensor to acquire at least one environmental parameter; and a controller to control an adjustment movement of the X-ray tube by generating control signals for the drive unit and to adapt the adjustment movement based on the at least one environmental parameter.

Collision-free X-ray tube movement

An X-ray device for carrying out X-ray scans is configured for a simplified procedure. The X-ray device has an image receptor which operates in conjunction with an X-ray generator to carry out X-ray scans of a patient, and a patient table. A tabletop of the patient table which is used to position the patient during the X-ray scans, is immovable in the table plane. Instead, the image receptor is disposed in a longitudinally and transversely movable manner relative to the tabletop parallel to the table plane.

X-ray device and method for medical imaging

A positioning device for a mobile x-ray detector, an x-ray device containing such a mobile positioning device, and a method mutually align a mobile x-ray detector and an x-ray emitter in relation to one another. In order to enable exact mutual alignment or positioning of the mobile x-ray detector in relation to the x-ray emitter, a positioning device is used for a mobile x-ray detector. The positioning device contains at least one marker and/or at least one sensor for determining the position and/or the orientation of the positioning device and contains a number of connection elements for establishing a mechanical connection between the positioning device and the mobile x-ray detector.

The present embodiments relate to an X-ray apparatus having a movable detector housing, in which a radiation detector is arranged. The X-ray apparatus includes at least one releasable interlock device configured to inhibit or enable the maneuverability of the movable detector housing. At least one control element is arranged on the movable detector housing, using which the at least one releasable interlock device is actuated. At least one grab handle element is also arranged on the movable detector housing. The movable detector housing is movable by hand and is holdable by a patient using the at least one grab handle element.

X-ray apparatus with a radiation detector

The present embodiments relate to a lifting unit for a patient support. The lifting unit includes a base plate, a motor drive, a lifting drive driven by the motor drive and received in the base plate. The lifting drive is adapted to carry out a lifting movement and a movement in the opposite direction. A triggering element is activated when the pressure exerted by the lifting drive on the base plate falls below a defined minimum value. The movement of the lifting drive is stopped in response to the activation of the triggering element. If the patient support collides with an obstacle during lifting, the pressure exerted by the lifting drive on the base plate is reduced. The reduced pressure is detected by the triggering element and the movement of the patient support is stopped.

Protection for a lifting unit

An X-ray detector drawer, into which an X-ray detector is insertable in two alternate orientations, has guide elements by which an inserted X-ray detector is fixedly positioned and oriented. The X-ray detector drawer has a securing device, by which an asymmetrical insertion of an X-ray detector with respect to either one of the two alternate orientations is hindered. The securing device includes a blocking element, whose position is altered as a function of the removal of the X-ray detector drawer. A receptacle for the X-ray detector drawer is configured to facilitate a removal the X-ray detector drawer from either of two opposite directions.

An apparatus configured for an insertion of a cassette comprises at least one distance sensor operably measuring in a contactless manner a distance from a corresponding location on the apparatus to the inserted cassette. An electronic evaluator is operably connected to the at least one distance sensor to receive at least one distance signal corresponding to distances measured by at least one distance sensor, such that the electronic evaluator generates a position signal, resulting from the at least one distance signal, which is dependent on a dimension and a position of the inserted cassette in the apparatus. A control unit is operably connected to the electronic evaluator such that the control unit receives the position signal from the electronic evaluator.

Apparatus for detecting position and format of a film cassette

A detector drawer for an X-ray detector has at least one stop () by which the mobility of an inserted X-ray detector in at least one direction is restricted. The mobility of the inserted X-ray detector is hindered by the at least one stop to two alternate stop positions with respect to that direction; and that the respective stop position becomes operative as a function of the motion of the X-ray detector upon its insertion, for instance as a function of the direction of the motion. By using the alternate stop positions, which automatically become operative, portable digital X-ray detectors, which are constructed asymmetrically, are automatically positioned centrally in the detector drawer regardless of their orientation or the desired orientation of the image to be made. The detector drawer is advantageously used in an X-ray system, and desirably in an X-ray system with a detector that is pulled out from opposite sides of a patient examination table.

A detector drawer is provided in which an X-ray detector can be placed, and so as to be inserted from both sides of an examination table into a detector drawer receptacle that is open on both sides. The detector drawer has a stop actuator, which as a function of the insertion of an X-ray detector can be put into an actuation position that enables the actuation of a stop of the detector drawer receptacle and as a function of the removal of the X-ray detector into a position of repose that minimizes the actuation of the stop. A detector drawer receptacle is also provided, which is open on both sides and into which a detector drawer can be inserted from both sides of the receptacle. The receptacle has a stop which is actuatable by a stop actuator of the detector drawer as a function of an insertion of the detector drawer. The stop may include a sliding stop, which is actuatable by the stop actuator in a thrust position that is dependent on the direction of insertion of the detector drawer. The sliding stop may be supported displaceably in the thrust direction of the detector drawer receptacle.
