A method for removing a layer made of a first material from a surface of a body made of a second material is disclosed. The body is subjected to a pressurized jet containing a blasting medium composed of particles, where the pressurized jet at least intermittently has an Almen intensity of at most 0.35 Almen A, preferably at most 0.3 Almen A and particularly preferably at most 0.25 Almen A.

Method and device for removing a layer from a surface of a body

A component having a corrosion-resistant and/or oxidation-resistant coating is provided that includes at least one platinum-aluminum substrate area is provided, the component having a substrate surface () and a substrate composition based on nickel, with a platinum-aluminum substrate area () formed in the area of the substrate surface of the component by precipitating platinum (Pt) and aluminum (Al) on the substrate surface. The platinum-aluminum substrate area () has a two-phase structure or duplex structure with finely dispersed platinum-aluminum deposits in a nickel-based mixed crystal in an outer zone (), and a single-phase structure made of a nickel-based mixed crystal in an inner zone () located between the substrate surface () of the component and the outer zone ().

Component having a coating

A process for producing a thermal barrier coating, in which organometal complexes of zirconium and at least one stabilizing element selected from the group of the alkaline earth metals or rare earths are provided as starting substances, the starting substances are evaporated by heating and the coating gases that are generated in this manner are transported to a component to be coated, which is heated at a deposition temperature, where they are broken down so that a layer is deposited, in which process, in order to produce a thermal barrier coating with a columnar structure and a sufficient layer thickness, the starting substances are heated, at a process pressure of 0.5 to 50 mbar, to at most 250&deg; C. so that the coating gases are formed, and the coating gases are transported to the component to be coated, the surface of which is heated at a deposition temperature of between 300&deg; C. and 1100&deg; C.

Method for producing a heat insulating layer

A method for producing a corrosion-resistant and an oxidation-resistant coating on a component in which a slurry is formed by mixing a binder solution with (1) a base powder selected from the group consisting of (a) MCrAlY wherein M is Ni or Co or both, (b) NiCrAl and (c) mixtures of (a) and (b) with (2) an added powder of Al, Pt, Pd, Si or mixtures thereof, each of the said powders having a grain size between 5 and 120 &mgr;m. The slurry is applied onto a component made of a superalloy based on nickel or cobalt. The slurry is hardened on the component to form a hardened slurry coating by heating the slurry to a temperature between room temperature and 450&deg; C., and the hardened slurry coating is heated, to produce diffusion thereof into the component, at a temperature between 750&deg; C. and 1250&deg; C.
