Methods and systems for facilitating selection of tools for one or more machine vision jobs are disclosed herein. An example method may be performed by one or more processors and includes displaying, via a display screen, an interactive graphical user interface (GUI) of an application, the application configured to generate job scripts for imaging devices to execute and the application operating in a job construction mode. The method also includes displaying an image within the GUI and detecting a selection of a portion of the image. The method further includes analyzing the portion of the image to determine a corresponding tool for processing the portion of the image and adding the corresponding tool to a job flow of the machine vision job.

Systems and methods for facilitating selection of tools for machine vision jobs

Systems and methods for automatic identification and presentation of edges, shapes and unique objects in an image used for machine vision job setup are disclosed herein. An example method includes receiving, by one or more processors, an image file. The method further includes automatically determining, by the one or more processors, an item of interest within the image file. The method further includes analyzing, by the one or more processors, the item of interest to determine an appropriate tool for processing the item of interest. The method further includes displaying, by the one or more processors, on a display screen: (i) an image corresponding to the image file, (ii) an indication of the item of interest, and (iii) an indication of the appropriate tool.

Identification and presentation of edges, shapes and unique objects in an image used for a machine vision job setup

Methods and systems for facilitating selection of tools for one or more machine vision jobs are disclosed herein. An example method may be performed by one or more processors and includes displaying, via a display screen, an interactive graphical user interface (GUI) of an application, the application configured to generate job scripts for imaging devices to execute and the application operating in a job construction mode. The method also includes displaying an image within the GUI and detecting a selection of a portion of the image. The method further includes analyzing the portion of the image to determine a corresponding tool for processing the portion of the image and displaying, within the interactive GUI, a user-selectable option to add the corresponding tool to a machine vision job.

A method, system and barcode reader for transmitting barcode scan information from a barcode reader to an external imaging system including one or more image capturing devices when the barcode reader is within a field of view of the external imaging system. Responsive to successfully decoding an indicia, the barcode reader transmits, to the external imaging system via an optical signal assembly, a first optical signal based at least in part on the indicia. Responsive to detecting an object within a product scanning region of the barcode reader and no successful decode of an indicia, the barcode reader transmits, to the external imaging system via the optical signal assembly, a second optical signal indicating the object being passed within the product scanning region with no successful decode.
