A method, system, and apparatus are provided for controlling encrypted data stored on a remote device. In particular, a remote device includes a storage controller device that can receive a 'secure hide' command from an administrator device via a cloud server. If the storage controller device determines the 'secure hide' command is validly signed, then the storage controller device executes the secure command by erasing the end user's public decryption key from the storage controller device. At that point, end user access to the encrypted data on the remote device is highly improbable.

A system and method for managing output such as printing, faxing, and e-mail over various types of computer networks. In one aspect, the system and method provides for accessing print and/or document resources located on private networks behind firewalls. A pass-through communication link is established between system components located on opposing sides of a firewall. A system-served user-interface enables users to select source data and an output device on which the source data are to be printed, either or both of which may reside behind the firewall. The source data are then retrieved and forwarded to a print service, which renders output image data corresponding to the source data and the selected output device. The output image data are then submitted to the output device to be physically rendered. Access to private resources is provided by the pass-through communication link. The system also enables documents to be printed by reference.

Output management system and method for enabling access to private network resources

A system and method for managing output such as printing, faxing, and e-mail over various types of computer networks. In one aspect, the method provides for printing via a wireless device. The system provides renderable data to the wireless device by which a user-interface (UI) may be rendered. The UI enables users to select source data and an output device on which the source data are to be printed. The source data are then retrieved from a local or remote store and forwarded to a print service, which renders output image data corresponding to the source data and the output device that was selected. The output image data are then submitted to the output device to be physically rendered. The user-interfaces enable wired and wireless devices to access the system. The system enables documents to be printed by reference, and enables access to resources behind firewalls.

Output management system and method for enabling printing via wireless devices

A system and method that enables users operating originating devices, such as PC's, laptop computers, PDA's, pocket PC's, cell phones, etc., to print documents, images, etc. by sending the content to be printed via an e-mail message. The e-mail message is sent to a virtual printer e-mail address hosted by an e-mail server. The e-mail message is retrieved by a 'driverless' print server (DPS) system, separated into a main file and attachment files, and printed on a printer to which the virtual printer e-mail address corresponds. The DPS system utilizes a table driven mechanism to determine appropriate applications to laod and process and handle various printer events generated by various software applications pertaining to the documents desired to be printed by operators of the originating devices. The system and method enable documents and the like to be printed without requiring a printer device driver corresponding to the target printer to be loaded on the originating device.

Method and system to print via email

A method to create a virtual print market place using one or more interconnected computers comprising collecting market information comprising an identity of service providers and the print services and pricing provided by each, obtaining criteria established by an interactive shop for selecting service providers to provide print services offered to patrons of the interactive shops; and selecting service providers to provide the set of print services based on the criteria and the market information. In another aspect, a method of creating a market place is provided comprising obtaining bids from service providers identifying print services and terms for providing the print services as well as from interactive shops identifying print services and terms for purchasing the print services and establishing an agreement between the service provider and the interactive shop when the terms are compatible.
