A conductor assembly includes an electrical conductor, a surge arrester which has a longitudinal direction, an operating state in which the surge arrester is configured to limit an overvoltage occurring in the electrical conductor, and a test state in which the surge arrester is not configured to limit the overvoltage. An electrically insulating support is disposed between the surge arrester and the electrical conductor in the longitudinal direction. The support is supported by the electrical conductor, and the surge arrester is supported by the support.

A method for producing an electrical switch contact arrangement for a vacuum circuit breaker includes the following steps: a) providing two electrical contact pieces made of copper or a copper alloy; b) coating the electrical contact pieces with aluminum or an aluminum alloy, the coating of the contact pieces taking place by means of a cold gas spraying method; c) welding each of the sides coated in method step b) to a current transfer contact; and d) arranging the units obtained in method step b) inside the vacuum circuit breaker. There is also described an electrical switch contact arrangement for a vacuum circuit breaker with the contact pieces produced by the method according to the invention.

Vacuum circuit breaker with weldable copper switch contacts

A separating wall for dividing a heating volume of a power circuit into a first sub-volume and a second sub-volume. The separating wall is formed with at least one wall opening which allows a flow of gas between the sub-volumes. The wall opening has an aerodynamically active opening surface based on a pressure difference between a pressure in the first sub-volume and a pressure in the second sub-volume.

Dividing a heating volume of a power circuit

An arrangement and a method for switching high currents include at least one vacuum switching path and at least one rated-current contact switching path. The at least two switching paths are electrically connected in parallel. One current path for a rated current is routed over at least one rated-current contact of said rated-current contact switching path, and a parallel current path for a short-circuit current is routed over at least one contact of a vacuum tube of the vacuum switching path.

Arrangement and method for switching high currents in high-, medium- and/or low-voltage engineering

On a high-voltage power switch there is provided a shaft for transmitting a rotary motion through a wall. A deflection lever is disposed on the shaft. The shaft and the deflection lever are part of a kinematic chain. For adjustment of the deflection lever in its position on the shaft, the deflection lever has an adjusting device.

According to the invention, heat generated inside a vacuum interrupter () is to be extracted, essentially by means of the pins () of the contact pieces () and, in order to improve the transmission of heat, a first slide contact surface () of a slide contact arrangement is provided on a pin (), whereby the first slide contact surface () is arranged on a first section of a pin () which comprises an enlarged circumference relative to the remaining sections of the pin ().

In a high-voltage power breaker having two mutually opposite switching contacts which, when connected are surrounded by an insulating material nozzle, coaxially with respect to which a shielding electrode is arranged, with a first switching contact, which can be driven, being connected via the insulating material nozzle and a linkage to the second switching contact, such that said switching contact carries out a movement in the opposite direction to the first switching contact during operation of the latter, the shielding electrode is operatively connected to the second switching contact such that, during disconnection, it carries out a movement which controls the electric field in the switching gap.

In a high voltage circuit breaker having a contact system comprising a contact driven by a switch mechanism and a counter-contact opposite the contact and driven by an auxiliary gear, the parallel current path leading over the auxiliary gear is interrupted by using an insulation part between the counter-contact and a second terminal of the high voltage circuit breaker.

A metal-clad, compressed gas-blast circuit-breaker having a gas-filled housing and an interrupter unit supported in the housing by a hollow post insulator. The circuit-breaker has a shifting linkage with at least one insulating drive rod, the shifting linkage transmitting the switching motion from a driving mechanism to a movable switching contact. In order to reduce the overall axial length of the circuit-breaker, the hollow post insulator comprising only insulating material, is penetrated only by the insulating drive rod and has, for fixing to the housing, on an end area facing away from the interrupter unit, on an outside surface, a premolded flanged ring mounted set back axially from the edge and being adapted to the bearing ring of the housing. The described circuit-breaker is esepcially suited for application in gas-insulated, metal-clad, high-voltage switching stations.
