Silica suspension in an organic solvent and method for its manufacture

A precipitated silica having large particle size for use in tire applications. In particular, a precipitated silica characterised by a CTAB surface area Sequal to or greater than 160 m/g; a median particle size d50, measured by centrifugal sedimentation, such that|50|>25000/||  (I) wherein |d50| represents the numerical value of the median particle size d50 measured by centrifugal sedimentation and expressed in nm and |S| represents the numerical value of the CTAB surface area Sexpressed in m/g; and an aluminium content not exceeding 4500 ppm.

Precipitated silica and process for its manufacture

A precipitated silica for use in tire applications. In particular, a precipitated silica characterised by a CTAB surface area Sgreater than 140 m/g; a width of the aggregate size distribution Ld, measured by centrifugal sedimentation, of at least 1.2; a pH of less than 5.5; and a carbon content of less than 1500 ppm.

Precipitated silica with improved processing properties

A chemically modified precipitated silica characterised by the presence of alkyl moieties chemically bound to the silica and a process for its manufacture.
