A computer system and method for managing commissions, including: a storage device containing a database having commission data and a periodic extract of sales transactions stored therein; a user interface for inputting the commission data into the database and viewing the commission data stored in the database; and a processor for calculating commissions for sales representatives and agents associated with a business enterprise based on the commission data, and forwarding the calculated commissions to a payroll department within the business enterprise; wherein the processor executes: a first software module for retrieving billing, inventory, corporate, and affiliated sales information for the sales representatives, and for calculating the commissions based on a predetermined rules set; and a second software module for retrieving billing and affiliated sales information for the agents, and for calculating the commissions based on the terms of a contract between the agent and the business enterprise.

Commission management system

A system and method capture data from an SS7 network and pair each invoke message with its corresponding response message. Each message is stored in a daily file as well as in a table dedicated for that particular message type. A separate file is also maintained on each MIN and holds the most current registration information for each MIN. The system and method support four different types of queries: a MIN/ESN query, an active roamer query, a switch-to-switch query, and a transaction statistics query. The MIN/ESN query provides roaming activity on a specific MIN or ESN while the active roamer query provides information on all roamers in a serving market. The switch-to-switch query reveals messaging at one switch or between two switches. The statistics query provides data to a provider on all of its subscribers roaming in foreign networks or on all phones within its own network. The system has a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for displaying information on each message in an easy and convenient manner. The details of a record are displayed in a tabular format with each tab holding data for a group of parameters.

Apparatus and methods are disclosed for providing wireless telecommunications service providers roamer visibility for on-line customer support and a fraud data feed for reducing losses due to fraud, obviating the need for each provider to purchase data from a central clearinghouse. Monitoring devices are coupled to existing network links (e.g., SS7 telecommunications links) or network elements (e.g., an STP pair), and are adapted to capture certain data regarding user traffic. The captured data is in turn provided via a wide area network or other transmission means to a message processor. The message processor collates raw messages received from the data capture devices and produces roamer visibility and fraud data. This subscriber-related data can be used to populate one or more databases available for query by on-line client workstations, or may, in the case of fraud-related data, be provided as a wire feed or other transmission to a fraud detection system or other wireless service providers. Before providing fraud data, redundant data is eliminated.
