A cartridge for a razor comprises a plurality of blade supports, wherein at least one blade support further comprises a blade attached to an inner surface of the at least one blade support that faces away from a shaving surface, wherein the at least one blade support comprises a first optical feature disposed on a portion of an outer surface of the at least one blade support that faces towards the shaving surface, and wherein the first optical feature is a first thermochromic portion configured to change colour based on a temperature of the at least one blade support according to a first temperature response of the first thermochromic portion.

Razor cartridge

A cartridge for a razor comprises at least one blade and a first blade support configured to attach the at least one blade to the cartridge. The first blade support includes a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion, a first optical feature provided on one or more of the first portion, the second portion, and the third portion. The first optical feature is selected from one or more of a color, a coating, a texture, a perforation, a transparency of the blade support, a light emitting source, a protrusion and a sticker.

A blade assembly includes a housing having a recess defining a first wall on a first side of the housing and a second wall on a second side of the housing, an elongated body that is attached to the first and second walls and is rotatable about a longitudinal axis (S-S), the elongated body having two or more facets, at least one of the facets has a lubricating element disposed thereon, and a locking mechanism for releasably locking the body in a use position.

The 3D camera is communicatively connected to the shaving razor and to a razor cartridge vendor platform via an Internet-of-Things (IoT) gateway. The 3D camera can be incorporated into the shaving razor. The razor has hardware/software capabilities to function as a stand-alone Internet-of-Things (IoT) device. The 3D camera can assist the user to determine whether a particular skin surface area has been adequately shaved, and/or (ii) assist the user regarding the type of shaving cartridge and/or razor suited for the particular user's physical characteristics (e.g., skin and/or hair).
