A method of installing a 3-piece pipe coupling to connect a first pipe element to a second pipe element includes the steps of bringing the 3-piece pipe coupling into engagement with a first connection groove located proximate a first pipe element end of the first pipe element and with a second connection groove located proximate a second pipe element end of the second pipe element, the 3-piece pipe coupling comprising three pieces; and tightening the 3-piece pipe coupling about the first and second pipe element ends with a fastener extending through a first fastener pad and through a second fastener pad formed at respective distal ends of two pieces of the three pieces comprising the 3-piece pipe coupling.

Pipe couplings

A pipe coupling includes a first coupling segment defining opposed ends, one end of the first coupling segment defining a first pivotal mount, and another end of the first coupling segment defining a second pivotal mount; a second coupling segment defining opposed ends, a proximal end of the second coupling segment configured to pivotally connect to the first pivotal mount, and a distal end of the second coupling segment configured to receive a fastener; and a third coupling segment defining opposed ends, a proximal end of the third coupling segment configured to pivotally connect to the second pivotal mount, and a distal end of the third coupling segment configured to receive the fastener.

A mechanical branch outlet includes: a housing defining: an outer surface; an inner surface; and an outlet bore extending between the outer surface and the inner surface; an insert defining: a wall; an axis; a rim extending radially outward from the wall with respect to the axis, the rim being a flange; a first end extending from the rim in a first axial direction aligned with the axis; and a second end extending from the rim in a second axial direction opposite from the first axial direction; the first end received fully within the outlet bore of the housing; the outlet bore of the housing configured to slidably receive the second end and retain the first end, an outer diameter of the rim being greater than an outer diameter of the second end.

A pipe coupling includes a coupling segment having an inner surface defining a ring groove proximate to an axial end of the coupling segment, the ring groove comprising a groove bottom surface extending from a first end of the coupling segment to a second end of the coupling segment; and a pipe connection ring disposed within the ring groove, the pipe connection ring defining a body with two ring ends and an outer surface, the outer surface of the pipe connection ring contacting the groove bottom surface at a midpoint between the first end of the coupling segment and the second end of the coupling segment when the pipe connection ring is in an uncompressed condition. The pipe connection ring may be a split ring defining an opening between the two ring ends, which may be square, tapered, angled, or stepped.

A curtain rod bracket assembly with a bracket base that is configured to be mounted to a wall or a ceiling, and a bracket arm defining at least one curtain rod supporting portion that is configured to hold a curtain rod in a generally horizontal orientation, and first and second mounting locations. The first mounting location is configured to be coupled to the bracket base when the bracket base is mounted to a wall, while maintaining a curtain rod supporting portion such that it is configured to hold a curtain rod in a generally horizontal orientation. A mechanical branch outlet including: a housing having an outer surface and an inner surface and defining an outlet bore extending between the outer surface and the inner surface; and an insert having a first end and a second end, the outlet bore of the housing sized to receive the second end of the insert and retain the first end of the insert.
