A transformer for switched-mode power supplies includes a magnetizable core having a winding axis, at least one primary winding, which is formed by a primary winding conductor which at least partly surrounds the winding axis of the core, and at least one secondary winding, which is formed by a secondary winding conductor. The secondary winding conductor surrounds the primary winding conductor. The secondary winding is formed in one layer, and a cross section of the secondary winding conductor is rectangular, in particular square.

An inductor includes a magnetizable core with a winding axis and at least one winding. The winding is formed by a conductor which at least partly surrounds the winding axis of the core. The winding is formed in one layer and a cross section of the conductor is rectangular, in particular square.

A system includes a number of frequency converters, wherein a respective frequency converter has a wired data interface and a frequency converter parameter memory. The system further includes a number of wireless local area network modules, wherein a respective WLAN module has a wired data interface. The data interface of the WLAN module can be coupled to the data interface of a frequency converter for the purpose of bidirectional data exchange, wherein the frequency converter parameter memory of a frequency converter is designed to store values of a number of frequency converter WLAN parameters.

A frequency converter control unit has: a serial control unit interface, a control unit clock pulse generator for generating a control unit clock pulse, and a control unit processor which is designed to define a control parameter depending on an actual value. A power unit has a data connection to the control unit and has several power semiconductors, a power unit clock pulse generator for generating an adjustable power unit clock pulse, a serial power unit interface, a clock pulse generator adjustment unit which has a signal connection to the power unit interface and which adjusts the power unit clock pulse depending on signals received by the power unit on the power unit interface, a power unit processor which controls the power semiconductors depending on the control parameter and the power unit clock pulse, and a sensor unit that determines the actual value. The control unit transmits the control parameter via the control unit interface to the power unit. The power unit transmits the actual value via the power unit interface to the control unit.

Frequency converter

A DC-DC converter includes a first half-bridge circuit, a second half-bridge circuit, at least one transformer having at least one primary winding and at least one secondary winding, wherein the first and second half-bridge circuits are designed to generate an AC voltage at the at least one primary winding, and a rectifier circuit having an output terminal. The output terminal includes a first output terminal pole and a second output terminal pole. The rectifier circuit includes at least one rectifier element. The rectifier circuit is designed to rectify a voltage present at the at least one secondary winding and to output it at the output terminal. The rectifier circuit includes a polarity reversal protection transistor, the collector-emitter path of which or the drain-source path of which is looped in between a terminal of the at least one rectifier element and the first or the second output terminal pole of the output terminal.
