In an electrical machine, in particular a generator for a motor vehicle, having a housing (), a rotor (), supported rotatably in the housing () about a pivot axis (), at least one fan wheel (), connected to the rotor (), for generating a cooling air flow (&#x2033;) from at least one intake opening (&#x2033;) disposed in the housing () to at least one outlet opening () disposed in the housing (), and at least one regulator chip (), disposed on a chip holder (), for regulating the current generation, it is provided that the chip holder () is disposed such that it is bathed at least in part directly by the cooling air flow (&#x2033;). As a result of this arrangement, it is attained that a very high heat transfer coefficient is present, because of the high flow speed of the cooling air flow (&#x2033;).

In the case of an electrical machine, in particular an alternator for a motor vehicle, having a housing (), a rotor () that is supported in the housing () in a manner that allows it to rotate around an axis of rotation () and that has at least one rotor winding () and at least one fan wheel () mounted on the rotor () for generating convection in the housing () and for dissipating heat from the at least one rotor winding (), the at least one fan wheel () is joined with the rotor () at least in a linear manner in order to better cool the rotor ().

The invention relates to an electrical machine, preferably an alternator ( ) for motor vehicles, comprising a rectifier assembly ( ) that is fixed to an end shield ( ) of the machine. Said rectifier assembly is cooled by a fan ( ) that operates in the end shield ( ), the diodes being positioned on a negative connecting plate ( ) and a positive connecting plate ( ) of the rectifier assembly ( ). The aim of the invention is to evacuate the dissipated heat from the rectifier assembly ( ) in an advantageous manner. To achieve this, the rectifier assembly is located in an opening in the front face ( ) of the end shield ( ) and is connected in an electrically and thermally conductive manner by one of its two connecting plates ( and ) to a cooling body ( ), which is connected to the exterior of the end shield ( ) and covers the opening ( ). The cooling air that is thus taken in by the fan ( ) first flows from the exterior across the cooling body ( ) in a radial manner towards the interior, entering the machine in the vicinity of the shaft through orifices ( ) in the end shield ( ) and from here, having reached the fan ( ), subsequently flows past the other connecting plate ( and ) in a radial manner towards the exterior.

A belt drive of an electrical machine has a belt pulley arranged on a driving end of a machine shaft, a coupling connecting the drive pulley with the machine shaft, the coupling having at least one elastic coupling part provided between a driving side and a driven side of the coupling, a mounting part having a bearing pin and mountable on a machine aggregate which is connected with the electrical machine, a drive belt connecting the mounting part with the machine aggregate, and an inner bearing. The belt pulley in order to take up belt pull forces, is mounted through the inner bearing on the bearing pin of the mounting part which is mountable on the machine aggregate through the drive belt.
