A magneto-inductive flow measurement device, comprises a means for producing a magnetic field with a self-inductance, wherein the means for producing the magnetic field comprises a coil arrangement; a means for sensing a measurement voltage induced in the flowable medium; an operating circuit, which is adapted to apply an operating signal on the coil arrangement, wherein the operating signal has operating signal parameters; a measuring circuit, which is adapted to determine a coil electrical current of the coil arrangement; a control circuit, which is adapted so to control at least one of the operating signal parameters that a function dependent on a self-induction value of the self-induction and a coil electrical current value of the coil electrical current does not differ from a predetermined, first desired value.

A magnetically inductive flow measuring probe comprises a housing that is adapted to be exposed to the medium; two measuring electrodes arranged in a housing end section for forming a galvanic contact with the medium and for sensing a voltage induced in the flowing medium; and a means for producing a magnetic field passing through the housing end section. The means includes a coil arrangement and a field guide body. The field guide body comprises two field guide body legs connected with a coil core, extending to a front section of the housing and adapted to serve as field guideback. Orthogonal projections of the measuring electrodes and the field guide body onto a cross sectional plane are disjoint.

Disclosed is a magnetically inductive flow measuring probe for determining flow rate and/or flow velocity of a medium, which includes a front part with a front end having a center, a housing, a magnetic field producing means arranged in the housing for producing a magnetic field passing through the front end, and a measuring- and evaluation unit, and characterized in that there are arranged on the front end and forming galvanic contact with the medium three measuring electrodes, which form three measuring electrode pairs, and in that the measuring- and evaluation unit is adapted to register induced measured voltages between at least two measuring electrode pairs, especially three measuring electrode pairs, and to ascertain flow rate and/or flow velocity of the medium as a function of the registered voltages.

The apparatus includes: A magnet arrangement, which produces an alternating magnetic field (&#x3c6;, &#x3c6;) at two locations, wherein, at the first location, the magnetic field passes through the measuring tube transversely to the longitudinal axis of the measuring tube, wherein, associated with the measuring tube, is at least one measuring electrode, in which a measuring current dependent on the flow of the medium is induced, wherein the magnetic field is so developed at the second location, that it drives an electric motor; and at least one control/evaluation unit, which so controls the magnet arrangement, that, in each case, a magnetic field suited for operating the electric motor and the flow measuring arrangement is provided, and wherein the control/evaluation unit delivers, on the basis of the measuring voltage induced in the measuring electrode(s), information concerning the volume flow of the medium in the measuring tube.
