The present invention relates to a device for sanding surfaces of a workpiece, preferably at least portions of which are made of wood, a manufactured wood product, plastic or such like. The present invention further relates to a sanding method and to a sanding machine comprising: a carrier element (), a plurality of pressure segments () which can be actuated, in particular electromagnetically actuated, and which are disposed along the carrier element () and are each designed to press a sanding element, especially a sanding belt (), against a workpiece (), and at least one sensor () for sensing a compressive force applied to a workpiece by one of the pressure segments.

Machining device and machining method

The invention relates to a method for edge coating on work pieces, comprising the following steps: inducing a relative movement between a work piece (W) and an application unit (), which application unit () is provided for applying a mass; setting an application region for applying the mass, in particular in accordance with the width of the edge of a work piece to be provided with the mass; applying the mass to an edge of the work piece (W) to form a three-dimensional body. Said work pieces can be, in particular elements or parts from the furniture or components industry.

Method and device for narrow surface coating

The device has a support segment for supporting a workpiece, in particular a flat workpiece, and a carrier segment, in particular a cantilever, a gantry, or an articulated-arm robot, which carrier segment holds a working unit. According to a preferred embodiment, the carrier segment can extend at least partially over the support segment. The working unit, in turn, comprises a feeding unit for feeding a forming material and an attachment segment for a die. According to the invention, the die can be placed against a workpiece and comprises a cavity for forming a component.

A method for forming an engagement portion in a workpiece is provided, said workpiece preferably consisting at least partially of wood, materials containing wood fibers, wood composite materials, veneer, plastics materials and combinations thereof. The method has the following steps of: providing the workpiece having a cutout, introducing a predetermined volume of a curable filling compound into the cutout and introducing an engagement element into the curable filling compound, wherein the engagement element has an engagement structure which at least partially represents a geometric counterpart to the engagement portion, the engagement portion takes up a predetermined position in the workpiece, and the engagement structure is arranged at least partially in the filling compound.
