A composition for forming a release coating is disclosed. The composition comprises (A) an organopolysiloxane comprising the reaction product of: (i) a silicone resin having a particular formula; (ii) a cyclic siloxane; and (iii) (iii) at least one of (A)(iii)(a) a branched organopolysiloxane having a particular formula or (A)(iii)(b) a terminating agent; in the presence of a polymerization catalyst. The composition further comprises (B) an organopolysiloxane including an average of at least two silicon-bonded ethylenically unsaturated groups per molecule.

Composition for preparing a release coating

A composition for forming a release coating is disclosed. The composition comprises (A) an organopolysiloxane comprising the reaction product of: (i) a silicone resin having a particular formula; and (ii) a cyclic siloxane; in the presence of a polymerization catalyst. The composition further comprises (B) an organopolysiloxane including an average of at least two silicon-bonded ethylenically unsaturated groups per molecule.

This invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising: (A) a film forming composition that can produce a tack free surface comprising: (I) a hydrosilylation reaction product of: (a) a silicone resin having the formula: (RRSiO)w(RRSiO)(RSiO)(SiO)wherein Ris a Cto Chydrocarbon group free of aliphatic unsaturation, Ris Ror an alkenyl group, w is from 0.3 to 0.6, x is from 0.0 to 0.2, y is 0, z is from 0.4 to 0.7, w+x+y+z=1.0, and w+z is from 0.85 to 1.0, with the proviso that the silicone resin (a) has at least two silicon-bonded alkenyl groups per number average molecule; (b) a polyether compound having the formula: RO(CHO)(CHO)Rwherein Ris a monovalent unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group containing 2 to 12 carbon atoms, c is from 0 to 50, d is from 0 to 50, and the value of c+d is greater than zero; (c) an SiH functional organopolysiloxane having the general formula: HRSiO(RSiO)(RHSiO)SiRHwherein c is 0 or 1, R can be identical or different and is a monovalent, optionally substituted hydrocarbon group with 1 to 18 carbon atoms per molecule, a and b are integers, with the proviso that the sum of a+b is 0 to 300, and wherein the organopolysiloxane contains SiH in amounts from 0.01 to 0.4 wt %; (d) a hydrosilylation catalyst; and (e) carrier solvent; and (II) a silicone resin having the formula: (RSiO)(SiO)wherein Ris a Cto Cto do hydrocarbon group free of aliphatic unsaturation, u is from 0.3 to 0.6, v is from 0.4 to 0.7, and the value of u+v is 1.0; and (B) at least one cosmetic ingredient.

Cosmetic compositions

A moisture-curable silicone adhesive composition is provided that comprises (A) a reactive resin, (B) a reactive polymer, (C) a moisture cure catalyst, and (D) a crosslinker resin. The reactive resin (A) comprises the reaction product of a reaction of an alkenyl-functional siloxane resin comprising RSiOunits and SiOunits and an alkoxysilane-functional organosiloxane compound having at least one silicon-bonded hydrogen atom in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst. The reactive polymer (B) comprises the reaction product of a reaction of an alkoxysilane-functional organosiloxane compound having at least one silicon-bonded hydrogen atom and a polyorganosiloxane having an average, per molecule, of at least 2 aliphatically unsaturated organic groups in the presence of a hydrosilylation catalyst.

Bi-modal water continuous emulsions are disclosed comprising at least 70 weight percent of a first dispersed phase containing a hydrophobic oil, wherein the hydrophobic oil is provided as a non-emulsified hydrophobic oil, a second dispersed phase containing a silicone, wherein the silicone is provided from a water continuous silicone emulsion containing at least one surfactant.

Bi-modal emulsions

A method of forming an MT-propyl siloxane resin includes the steps of hydrolyzing propyl trichlorosilane in an excess of water to provide a T-propyl siloxane resin and capping the T-propyl siloxane resin formed from the hydrolysis of the propyl trichlorosilane with a silicon-containing M-group capping agent to form the MT-propyl siloxane resin. The MT-propyl siloxane resin is useful in a variety of personal care applications, and in particular, as an additive to personal care compositions.

A process for preparing silicate shell microcapsules comprises adding a water reactive silicon compound to an oil in water emulsion, thereby condensing and polymerizing the water reactive silicon compound to form silicate shell microcapsules having a core comprising the oil phase of the said emulsion. A process for preparing an aqueous dispersion of a silicone resin is disclosed by reacting a mixture containing an alkylalkoxysilane and a cationic alkoxysilane to form a self dispersing silicone resin and subsequently combining the silicone resin with water to form the dispersion. The resulting dispersions are useful for forming coatings on various substrates that are essentially free of co-surfactants or volatile organic solvents.

Aminofunctional silicone emulsions are prepared by forming a mixture of A) 100 parts of a polydialkylsiloxane Having a viscosity of at least 50,000 mm/s at 23&#xb0; C., and B) 0.1 to 100 parts of an aminofunctional organopolysiloxane, admixing C) 0.1 to 50 parts of a halide free quaternary ammonium surfactant containing at least 10 carbon atoms, and a sufficient amount of water to form an emulsion.
