An energy harvester for an aircraft comprises a first portion, a movable element and a kinetic-to-electric-energy-converter. The first portion includes a charge collecting device having an electrical permittivity different to that of air. The charge collecting device is configured to be exposed to an air flow. The movable element is configured to be driven by the charge of the charge collecting device, and the kinetic-to-electric-energy-converter is configured to generate energy by the movement of the movable element.

A measurement device for measurement of forces in structural components, having a measurement sensor, which is embodied such that it is connected with the structural component in a force-fit and/or form-fit manner, and generates measurement signals as a function of force transfers in the structural component, the measurement device having a measurement casing upon the measurement sensor. Processing of received measurement signals can occur, and the measurement casing has connecting means, for placing in position and releasable attachment of the measurement casing on the structural component, and the contacting means of the measurement casing can establish contact with the measurement sensor for the reception of the measurement signals.

Monitoring device for repair patches, repair kit, and method for monitoring a repair patch

A device for acquiring mechanical loads on mechanically loaded bodies is provided. The device exhibits a resonance-capable micro-bridge structure, an alternating voltage source with a variable frequency, an impedance measuring device for acquiring the impedance of the micro-bridge structure and an electronic unit for receiving determined impedance values and changing the frequency of the alternating voltage source. By exciting the micro-bridge structure and measuring its impedance, a conclusion can be drawn as to the expansion-dependent resonance frequency, which in return makes it possible to determine the expansion, and hence the mechanical load. Such a device is sufficiently accurate, and largely independent of outside influences.

Apparatus and method for acquiring mechanical loads on thrust elements

A semiconducting gas sensor includes a gas-sensitive layer, a heater for heating the layer to a defined measuring temperature, and contact electrodes for measuring the electrical resistance of the gas-sensitive layer enclosed within a microchamber, in which the gas-sensitive layer is arranged. The chamber can be sealed from the outside, and is constructed so that the chamber volume is small enough to allow at least one component of the gas or gas mixture that is to be analyzed to be at least largely exhausted via conversion on the gas-sensitive layer, within a predetermined measuring interval. With the limited gas store and the conversion of a component of the gas during the measurement process, gases or gas mixtures comprising several components can be analyzed. In this, the measuring signal is reexamined following the conversion of at least one component. Within the chamber, several sensor elements may be arranged with gas-sensitive layers, and may be operated at different temperatures. One gas sensor system, for example, is comprised of at least two semiconducting gas sensors having microchambers, which are arranged within a system of gas lines and valves, and can be filled individually.

Semiconductor gas sensor, gas sensor system and method of gas analysis

A semiconductor gas sensor, for example for measuring CO, NO , O , etc., exhibits a heatable sensor element for measuring gas concentrations, and a housing in whose interior the sensor element is disposed. The housing has a first opening, which connects the interior to the exterior. The housing has one or more second openings, which lie deeper than the first opening so that a gas stream is driven by means of convection from the second opening to the first opening. The semiconductor gas sensor can be made of silicon by means of micro engineering.
