A magneto-mechanical sensor can be use for paramagnetic gas analysis, in which a test piece has a conductor loop is rotatably held by at least one suspension wire. In order to be able to produce the conductor loop, which is to be electrically connected to the at least one suspension wire, with little manual effort and use a small-sized, light-weight sensor, portions of the conductor loop are applied to the surface of the test piece using a metallization process.

Magneto-mechanical sensor for paramagnetic oxygen measurement

An oxygen concentration measuring device is provided for determining an oxygen concentration of a gas in a sample volume. The device includes an optical device configured for irradiating the sample volume containing oxygen with a first UV radiation intensity, at least one wavelength of which is close to a spectral absorption line of oxygen, a magnetic field generator configured for applying a magnetic field at the sample volume, and a UV light detector configured for measuring a second UV radiation intensity coming from the sample volume. The oxygen concentration in the sample volume is determined on the basis of the applied magnetic field and the measured second UV radiation intensity.

In order to damp in the analyzer all kinds of oscillations which have a negative effect on stability in the balance point, and to increase the detectability and the speed of the measurement, there are least two electrically conductive surface segments which are essentially perpendicular to one another are arranged for eddy-current damping on the dumbbell or in the mechanical gearing on the dumbbell and in the region of action of the inhomogeneous magnetic field. One of the surface segments may be the mirror.
