A surface acoustic wave resonator arrangement comprises a piezoelectric substrate () and a surface acoustic wave resonator () which includes an interdigital transducer () disposed on the piezoelectric substrate (). A trench () is disposed within the piezoelectric substrate () facing the resonator (). Trench () causes reflected waves () in response to waves () leaking from the surface acoustic wave resonator. Trench () is configured such that the reflected acoustic waves () achieve phases at the edge () of the resonator () such that the accumulated phases of all the reflected waves received at edge () is zero or substantially zero, thereby avoiding constructive interference of the reflected waves with the acoustic waves resonating in the resonator. Thereby undesired acoustic coupling between resonators or influence of waves reflected at edges of the piezoelectric substrate or dicing lines is reduced.

Surface acoustic wave resonator arrangement

At least three acoustic filters circuits FC are arranged on a single chip CH. At least two of them are electrically connected already on the chip for multiplexing. This reduces space consumption and leads to smaller device size.

Single substrate multiplexer

An improved DMS filter with electrode structures between a first port and a second port is provided. Wiring junctions are realized in multilayer crossing with dielectric material in between. There are insulating patches (L) between crossing conductor layers (L,L). Signal wirings may be realized with multiple conductor layers (L, L) to reduce wiring resistance and the upper conductor layer (L) of the signal wiring may partly overlap the insulating patches (L). The insulating patches (L) may extend over the acoustic path to achieve temperature compensation.

DMS filter, electroacoustic filter and multiplexer

An improved electro acoustic RF filter (FC) is provided. The RF filter comprises an electro acoustic resonator (EAR) connected between an input port and an output port, an impedance element and a damping and/or dissipation element (DE) in mechanical contact to the impedance element. The damping and/or dissipation element is provided and configured to remove acoustic energy from the impedance element which has a similar construction as the resonator on the same substrate. With such a construction an acoustically inactive impedance element (AIIE) is obtained.

An electroacoustic component is specified in which the disturbing contributions of undesired wave modes are reduced. For this purpose, a component includes a piezo layer, an electrode layer and a separating layer. A main mode and a secondary mode are capable of propagation in the component. The separating layer has an opposite thickness dependence for the frequencies of the main mode and of the secondary mode.

Electroacoustic component and method for the production thereof

A reactance filter can be use branching technology. A series circuit contains a first filter element, a second filter element and a third filter element. Each filter element includes a first impedance element that is connected in series with an impedance element of an adjacent element. Each filter element also includes a second element connected to the first impedance element of that filter. The first and/or second impedance element of each filter element comprises a includes a resonator. Each impedance element has a bandwidth that is expressed by its pole zero distance and each filter element comprises a means for setting the bandwidths of the impedance elements.

Broad-band filter in branching technology

The invention relates to a band rejection filter comprising a piezoelectric substrate and a serial connection of at least two pi-elements which are arranged on the substrate. The pi-elements respectively comprise at least two electro-acoustic parallel resonators and at least one electro-acoustic serial resonator, and are connected by a first series inductance. Said serial connection comprises, on a first inlet, a second series inductance and on an outlet, a third series inductance. Said resonators have a pole-zero plot of approximately 9% or more.

Band rejection filter comprising a serial connection of at least two pi-elements

A SAW filter has two DMS tracks. Each DMS track includes six converters, with two converters each acting as input or output converters. The two DMS tracks are electrically connected in series by way of four pairs of coupling converters and the associated coupling lines. A common inner ground line is provided between the two DMS tracks, which extends over the entire length of the DMS tracks and crosses the coupling lines. The input converters of the first DMS track are connected to an asymmetrical port, while the output converters of the second DMS track are connected to a symmetrical port.

SAW filter operating in a balanced/unbalanced manner

A band-stop filter is proposed which is constructed on a multilayered substrate and consists of a parallel circuit comprising a bandpass filter and a high-pass filter. The two filters are at least partly realized in the form of LC-elements integrated into the substrate. Further circuit components can be arranged as discrete components on the substrate. In the filter branch having the bandpass filter, an electroacoustic resonator is arranged in a transverse branch to ground. By means of the filter, a wide stop band is obtained, while the passband or passbands can comprise a plurality of radio bands.

The invention relates to a filter with a first partial filter (TF), comprising a series resonator (S) and at least two parallel resonators (P, P) that are arranged in respective parallel branches, and with a second partial filter (TF) configured as a DMS filter. The filter also comprises a housing with a plurality of internal housing contacts (GKi) on a base plate that are connected to terminal areas on the substrate (SU) and external housing contacts (GKa), fewer than the internal contacts, that are connected to the internal housing contacts (GKi) via lines (DL, DL) guided within the base plate. At least two lines for connections to ground of the first parallel resonator (P) and the second partial filter (TF) are guided separately in or on the base plate and are connected to at least two different external housing contacts (E, E).

RF-filter with improved adjacent channel suppression

An electric filter has a band-pass filter that includes a track with acoustically coupled electroacoustic transducers. The filter includes a band-stop filter with at least one electroacoustic series element and at least one electroacoustic parallel element. The series element of the band-stop filter is connected in series to at least one of the transducers of the band-pass filter. The parallel element of the band-stop filter is arranged in a shunt arm that is electrically connected to at least one of the transducers of the band-pass filter. In at least one of the electroacoustic elements of the band-stop filter, the resonance frequency and the anti-resonance frequency lie outside the passband of the band-pass filter.

Surface acoustic wave filter comprising a band-pass filter and a band-stop filter

A surface acoustic wave filter arrangement is described herein. The surface acoustic wave filter arrangement includes a first gate configured to operate symmetrically or asymmetrically, and a second gate configured to operate symmetrically. The filter arrangement also includes a double-mode surface acoustic wave (DMS) filter structure including an input connected to the first gate, and an output. The output includes a terminal pair that includes two symmetrical terminals configured to operate symmetrically. Each of the two symmetrical terminals of the terminal pair is electrically connected at the output of the DMS filter structure to a cascaded resonator.

For improving the matching of a DMS track that is connected in series with a reactance element, it is proposed to connect a shunt branch to ground between the DMS track and reactance element parallel to the signal-carrying conductor section, where a capacitive element is arranged in this shunt branch.

A band-stop filter is described herein. The band-stop filter includes a piezoelectric substrate and a plurality of surface wave element (SAW) impedance elements on the substrate. The band-stop filter also includes at least one series branch comprising at least one series resonator having a finger period, and a plurality of parallel branches connected electrically in parallel with the series branch, each parallel branch including at least one parallel impedance element comprising an interdigital transducer and having a finger period. The average finger period of the at least one series resonator is greater than the average finger period of the at least one parallel impedance element.

A surface acoustic wave filter includes an acoustic track bounded by reflectors, at least a first input transducer and at least a second input transducer acoustically coupled to the acoustic track that are connected in parallel and connected to an asymmetric input port, at least two first output transducers acoustically coupled to the acoustic track that are connected in parallel and connected, to a first terminal of a symmetric output port and at least two second output transducers acoustically coupled to the acoustic track that are connected in parallel and connected to a second terminal of a symmetric output port.
