A pulsation damping capsule including at least one hermetically joint-sealed metal membrane housing made of at least two preferably concave hemispheres, the housing being provided for separating an inner space from a surrounding pressure medium, wherein the hemispheres are connected together along a peripheral seam firmly bonded such that the pulsation damping capsule can be compressed and expanded as an energy accumulator with spring elasticity due to the effect of the pressure medium. A pulsation damping device is provided which is both dimensioned to withstand stresses and is simple to produce, the pulsation damping effect of which can be tailored especially easily to the existing conditions. Further disclosed is a pulsation damping module for housing a plurality of pulsation damping capsules.

Pulsation damping capsule

The invention relates to a motor-pump unit for a motor vehicle brake system, comprising a motor and a pump which is provided with a shaft that is driven by said motor, with the shaft end being rotatably mounted by means of at least one bearing in an accommodating member having valves and connecting channels, said shaft driving displacement means which are disposed in a chamber that can be filled with pressure fluid. In order to improve vacuum filling of the brake system with pressure fluid, the invention discloses that the shaft end terminates into a free space, and that at least one connection is provided between the free space and the chamber.

Motor-pump unit

An actuator unit for an electro-hydraulic brake system of the 'brake-by-wire' type, the first and second pistons thereof being preloaded by a resetting spring each in opposition to the actuating direction. The first pressure chamber of the tandem master cylinder is connected to a hydraulic chamber limited by a simulator element. On the other hand, the simulator element defines a simulator chamber that accommodates a simulator spring and is connected to a pressure fluid reservoir. A valve device is provided to open or close the hydraulic connection between simulator chamber and pressure fluid reservoir. To increase the reliability in operation of a hydraulic fallback mode, at least one channel portion through the pressure chamber, closed at the edge at least in areas, is provided for the purposeful removal of pressure fluid contaminants by means of a compulsory pressure fluid scavenging operation.

Hydraulic Brake System with a Device for Active Braking In order to enable a hydraulic brake system which has a self-priming return pump (,) to quickly fill the wheel brakes (,) in an active braking operation, the present invention discloses the provision of a pressure-volume converter (,) on the pressure side of the return pump (,). The converter (,) causes a large pressure fluid volume to be conducted into the brake line (,) to the wheel brake (,) concerned at a small delivery volume of the return pump (,). This is possible because a return pump can generate high pressure and, thus, produce a sufficient amount of force to displace a stepped piston which can then displace a large quantity of pressure fluid. To permit the development of a sufficient back pressure on the pressure side of the return pump (,), a pilot pressure non-return valve (,) is arranged in the pressure line (,) which extends in parallel to the pressure-volume converter (,). Valve (,) permits the passage of the delivered pressure fluid volume to the brake line (,) only when a pilot pressure prevails.
