A fuel cell, comprising a housing, at least one first proton-conducting layer covered by catalyst layers on both sides, gas-permeable electrodes on the catalyst layers and second layers arranged on both sides of the first layers, whereby said second layers take the form of electro-conductive plates that are located in closely adjacent electro-conductive contact with the electrodes, define gas conducting channels in conjunction with the electrodes and one layer touches the other layer by means of a substantially planar surface. The electrodes are made of at least one layer of electro-conductive polymer fibers that is intersected by flow channels running parallel to the surface thereof in at least one direction.

Fuel cell

A regulating valve comprising a housing having a cylindrical valve chamber, the valve chamber being provided with at least one inlet and at least two outlets, the inlet and the outlets being at least partially closeable as needed by a common valve body arranged in the valve chamber and rotatable around an axis, the valve body being operable by an actuator, the inlet and/or at least one of the outlets being surrounded by a sealing device on the side of the housing facing the valve body and the sealing device being able to be brought into sealing engagement with the valve body under elastic preload. The valve body is designed having the shape of the segment of a cylinder and is bounded on the peripheral side by two boundary surfaces which each have an edge on the side facing the housing, the edge overtravelling the inlet during its opening being designed as an efflux edge and having an elliptically shaped recess extending in axial direction. Configured in the valve body is a duct-shaped opening which extends between the boundary surfaces and penetrates them.

Regulating valve

A bottom unit for the combustion chamber of a liquid-fueled rocket including a bottom plate held on a swivel bearing and having circumferentially distributed openings for the injection of the two fuel components as well as two separate groups of supply passages which are connected to these fuel injection openings. The swivel bearing consists of a rigid thrust plate and a rigid hanger plate which are held and joined together by an internally situated, first annular body of rubber elastic material and by a second annular body of rubber elastic material surrounding the first at a radial distance therefrom. The one group of supply passages is formed by the cavity surrounded by tthe first annular body and the other group of supply passages by the annular space between the first and the second annular body.

Bottom unit for the combustion chamber of a liquid-fueled rocket

A coupler for coupling inner and outer, radially-spaced, rotatable machine components has a generally annular body for location in the radial space between the machine components. Inner and outer drive element devices project from the generally annular body for respectively engaging drivingly the inner and outer machine components. At least one of the drive element devices is at least one at least circumferentially-resilient spring leaf projecting from the generally annular body at one end with a drive element for engaging the machine component engaged thereby on the other end.
